It sure was. I LOVE the more intimate episodes with just a handful of characters. Character-driven narrative is SO much better than filler-driven 'comedy'.

I agree.

I love the one-liner humour that EE often does with characters like Shirley, even Philth now and again, Nancy and Tamwar were brilliant at it, Kim can also do it but her extended supposed comedy is also awful at times.

I'm afraid I can't stand Kim. I like one-liners, especially sarcastic ones. I hate when characters are written trying to be overtly 'funny'.

Hi everyone - I'm fine. Knackered after a busy day. Yes EE was the sort of episode that is classic EE with pure drama and the emphasis on Dean's victims. We need more of this. What annoys me is, people who want 5-6 things going on at once and are biased to characters/actors.

I don't mind Kim, but she works as a background character. One-liners I do agree - Shirley and Phil are the best at these.

How is Phil and his liver problems? Is the storyline still running?

I'm good thanks, just watched EE, which has took the piss with the Dean storyline.

I do that, half watch programmes all the time.
