Molly hates him because he allowed the child abuse to take place but didn't do anything about it. That makes him as bad as the abusers in her eyes and I would actually agree with her.

I see. I kind of missed that whole plot so thought he might've been the paedo initially. I obviously realised he wasn't quickly because Liz is still friendly with him.

Yeah I think I agree with you. Definitely seems like it was a 'marriage of convenience' while they were inside. Amber seems conflicted and Karen from Shameless is definitely more into the relationship.

KOS is being played like the archetypal male who is aggressive and pushes for commitment from the docile female, Amber. I think it is being shown in such a way to demonstrate that it is NOT a real relationship in Amber's eyes - it's dysfunctional.
