I live at the end of a long dark driveway and I think it's a bit dark and out of the way for them to bother.

When I used to live in a street with lots of families about and stuff I used to buy sweets to give them. I am not a complete meanie

Haha that sounds like 'the witch's house' that used to be in my street when I was a kid. There was an old lady (she probably wasn't that old at all) and everyone decided she was a witch because her driveway had lots of trees and bushes and generally looked scary
