Well I'm not meaning to cause arguments and spoil your thread or be petty and I'm very sorry if I've come across that way.
I can see what you mean but surely if a person was referring to male pet shop employees then they wouldn't use capital letters, they would say 'the pet shop boys' and not the/The Pet Shop Boys? Just saying! I too am sorry my thread isn't popular but that's because it's in this forum and not many people come here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am not even going to entertain this anymore Retro Plenty of posters still use this thread so chatter can't be that off putting

![]() Well it wouldn't have made much sense to me, you knew what Gleek meant and it's not like she capitalised 'the' and therefore was using it as part of a sentence, not the name the duo. I knew who they were but did I get into a hissy fit over it? No. Like Lea says I think you're being childish and it's unnecessary. I noticed you posted in your chill thread the other day as well and was still having a little dig. Good post. It's obvious that it was picked up on to cause an argument. As for having a dig at people in my thread I was just meaning that it was a shame that no one would join in and it would have been nice if people did but as a rule no one does. |

I would love it if they'd explored Milton being Mrs Fanshaw's long lost father. Could've been the perfect return storyline for Mrs Fanshaw.

The thing is, it did come off in a nasty way to me, hence why I reacted the way I did. I used 'the' because there are more than one of them, 'boys' plural. You may wonder why I am continuing to argue this with you even though I know it doesn't matter, and the reason is that I can be just as pedantic as you are.

I go away for one afternoon and the thread turns into a warzone!
Just to clear stuff up, because the duo is Pet Shop Boys, it would have a 'the' if you were quoting them. If the duo was called 'Pet Shop', it'd simply be "in the words of Pet Shop". |

John Green is an author of young-adult books, ones you might have heard of (because they were made into films) are The Fault In Our Stars (which I was quoting) and Paper Towns. They can be summed up by: girl meets boy, they contemplate some philosophical sh*t, girl dies/boy dies/they both die, the end, we are emotional wrecks for a week. Now in 3-D!
![]() I have heard of both the books and films but read/watched neither. I did intend to buy The fault in our stars but was waiting till it was cheaper then forgot
