Oh simple thing, where have you gone?

I'm getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me when you're gonna let me in

I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
Didn't have to google this one one of my favourite songs

Also can I ask you guys a serious question? Have any of you ever felt like the world is out to get you, so you're suspicious of everyone? It's really making me hate people and automatically think they're my enemy. You guys are "safe", meaning I feel comfortable with you, same with my family, friends and teachers. But everyone else, nah.
In my experience its better not to trust when you have that gut instinct but then Aaron will tell you I am miss paranoia but I end up being right 90% of the time

I am prob not the one to answer this sorry

Yay, it's one of my favourites too! Although I didn't hear the Keane version (yes, the original!) for years because I was so fond of the glee version

And don't even talk to me about the Lily Allen version

The original is definitely the best. Keane is not really my kind of music but my bro liked them and I heard this, he bought me the album which I still have and listen to in the car all the time

Aww that's sweet I can't seem to get into their music either tbh, but at least they wrote one song we love!

I actually preferred the glee rendition of Blackbird

Not really if I'm honest (not to make you feel worse ). I had some bad times like everyone in which I was more angry/depressed than usual and probably took it out on the wrong people, but I can't constantly say I genuinely felt that anyone was out to get me. It was probably more a case of me feeling sorry for myself

I'm a bit all of the place, really. I can be quite cynical/sceptical at times which makes me a pretty decent judge of character, but I don't hold grudges or dwell on things when people disappoint me. I'm not bragging when I say that, but it just seems to be in my personalityto roll with the punches and 'go with it', I guess.

I'd hate to feel prolonged stress or paranoia tbh

Yes, we have had moments where we get on. Not likely we ever will again so nice to remember good stuff!

I love most the songs on that album but couldnt even tell you what other stuff they have done think it was a one off thing

Thanks for the insight too Graddy Maybe I am feeling sorry for myself too. It just feels really weird, and not a nice feeling to feel unsafe wherever I go, whoever I'm with. I wouldn't mind so much if I felt like it was just me being humiliated, I'm used to it, but it's affecting my level of comfort with my boyfriend and my friends

It's good not to hold grudges, it means you can let go of things more easily, not sure I can say I'm like that.

I'm don't think you're feeling sorry for yourself. It sounds as if your depression is very debilitating if it makes you feel this way I hope your friends/boyfriend can understand this and are able to offer their support

I hope so. I think they are, but I have to remember factors such as: some of my college friends are very young, and not always tactful, which I completely understand- they show that they care in other ways, I don't expect them to have knowledge of how to deal with depression. My boyfriend tries to help by reassuring me e.g if I say "I'm ugly" then he'll say "you're beautiful"

but he doesn't know that to me it sounds like he's talking about someone else

Been so busy lately and was behind on EastEnders so avoided the forums whilst I caught up! Did I miss anything extraordinary on the forum?

We're doing a panto . I'm a scarecrow with some intense choreography, apparently.

I'm sure Grad will be able to squeeze you in

I haven't bothered catching up with EE recently, it seems so boring.
