I know, right? I also hate comments such as: "I can't [insertexcusehere] because of 'My Anxiety'" as if it's a bloody pet or something. Anyone I've known with a genuine anxiety disorder seldom talks like this. |

![]() ![]() Did you start your advent calendar? ![]() ![]() I'm mixed on Christmas, I like most of it, but then I also hate parts. We have the German Market in Birmingham, most people love it and make a big thing of going to it, I hate it, firstly I get nervous and claustrophobic with so many people around, and secondly, it's all overpriced tat anyway. And I don't like sausages. Well, not that kind anyway

I agree with this, it's good people are able to talk about anxiety freely these days, but many people make it up when they don't actually have it. Which annoys me.

I'm glad others agree. People think I sound harsh but I get sick of every second person having some form of mental illness/trauma these days. Attention-seeking like this gives real mental health sufferers a bad name, and ensures that old stereotypes persist

Remember that friend that was bare "depressed" and "insane"? The other day he said something about it to my friend (a joke about suicide or self-harming or something, can't remember) saw me look at him and then said "I can't say that, Danny's got depression and will get offended".

No, I get very claustrophobic and frustrated. I don't cope well in busy places, once had a meltdown in a shopping centre when my mental health was at its worse.

Busy places and also the Tube in London, way too claustrophobic. I'm a very fast walker, hate slow walkers, just speed up FFS ![]()

![]() This reminded me of the time someone on facebook took a selfie at 2am with mascara running down their face with a huge paragraph explaining they were depressed because they failed their exams. Talk about glamorising mental illnesses. ![]()

![]() Every room you went in you put something up, right? ![]() Same tbh. I can't be arsed with the Edinburgh Christmas market either: ridiculous prices, freezing cold, ram-packed. They're so overrated. Once went to a pub in Nuneaton (not my choice, I tried to convince them to change the venue) and took a roll of toilet roll and cleaned every glass before I used it (not even kidding, got some right looks!)
