It was excellent tonight, hope it's a sign of things to come in the run up to Christmas. One of SOC's best episodes so far tonight.
Well you admitted to it so it's your own doing
I don't either, but it's a huge change in tone and pace after YEARS of sensationalism, DTC did a good job, as did Santer but SOC has really worked his magic, and it is finally (hopefully) beginning to show. Christmas and New Year look great, spoilers are very vague but sound good.
Shirley was great tonight, sparring with 'Brenda' and then when Carmel called her something and she replied with 'I'm beginning to warm to you' was great. The huge twist at the end just topped off an already decent episode. Lots of people never liked EE because the characters always scream and shout at each other, yet that has been rectified now and the characters are like actual human beings, with humour and flaws and lots of layers to them. I really like how there's nice touches of humour that aren't forced, like Linda going upstairs to rescue Ollie from Johnny

and Kathy doing her best Catherine Tate Nan impression.
The feeling is mutual, even though it's more of a curse.
