I though it was very well done and even though it was expected it was still quite shocking and tragic.

I think the pool had a very haunting atmosphere too, that clock above it ticking towards midnight like it was counting down their time on earth.

That last scene was like a horror film and I momentarily forgot that I had just watched EE and not a gothic horror film.
No wonder the midnight ending was advertised in the trailer as it was very significant to their end. I do think that has to be one of the most memorable soap exits ever, we were promised a good and memorable exit and it definitely delivered. When I first read about it I had visions of Ronnie's dress pulling her down as Roxy tried to save her in a melodramatic fashion, so it really surprised me to watch her dress taking the life out of her as she desperately fought to save her sister.

Just the way that final scene was filmed was amazing. The focus on the shoe, the champagne bottle, the locket and then the camera panning upwards before fading to black. I felt like I was watching a period drama not a soap! What a way to exit though in all fairness.

How on Earth does Corrie keep beating EE? Are the ratings rigged or is their viewer base so loyal they don't care how bad it is?

Corrie was better but Corrie didnt beat EE. Those figures include +1 if you compare normal episode v normal episode EE win

If people want to boycott EE let them. They can watch sensationalist crap like Hollyoaks aimed at people with a short attention span. Even I am thinking of not partaking in the episodes threads due to the craziness.

It's the starting a new thread everytime someone has a thought instead of adding to an existing thread that is pissing me off.

The ED and Corrie people are going to be getting well pissed off!

Er don't slag off Hollyoaks, loyal watcher here

The amount of faux outrage on there right now has me like

Thing is though, they won't. They will continue to watch and slag it off or stop watching but still come onto the forum and wind everyone up. It's genuinely pathetic.

With you on this one, for all it's faults

The hate towards SOC is very concerning. I have seen posts on social media that say things like "I want to smash SOC's face in" which isn't normal behaviour and borders onto threats.

The negativity on the forum has been really ruining that for a while. Like you said Lea it's annoying when someone who has an opinion posts a completely new thread instead of adding to an existing one, it's normally posters who don't contribute then clog up the forum with their threads thinking they feel the need to have their own thread for their opinion!

I can definitely see the Corrie, Emmerdale and other posters getting fed up, it's annoying as hell.

Hi Keyser,

Are you enjoying EE at the moment?

I'm loving it just now thought the Christmas season has been great and we get rid of some Mitchells, all's well

I am enjoying the programme but the fact that the Excrement of Philth is still alive pisses me off no end.

I will miss looking at the Mitchell sisters (for artistic reasons of course).

Need to watch tonight's again properly as was distracted and missed around half of it.

I don't think our opinion of Philth is much different, we both can't stand the bald potato.

I think the aftermath of the sisters deaths has been good its the first time for a while that I really don't want to miss a word

Does it annoy anyone else when soap parents explain a death to their children as the person concerned having "gone away"? The child will surely think they've been abandoned
