Hi NDD

What is Life on Mars about (I'm guessing people on Mars but I mean the storyline?)
Hi Danny!!
It was somewhat complicated but basically it was about a cop (Simm) who was mown down by a car while on duty in 2006, left in a coma & woke up In 1973 where he was again drawn into life as a cop working with a typical no nonsense sergeant (Glennister)!!

The gung ho policing of the 70s trying to marry with all the PC rules & regulations of 00s policing, which Simm's character was constantly trying to make everyone follow led to some great comedy & great drama in equal measures, with the added interest of Sam (Simm's character) constantly trying to work out where he was, how he'd got there & how the hell he was going to get back to the 'real world!!

The first series especially really is worth watching, though probably of more interest to me for being a '70s child!!'

Thanks for explaining that, it sounds good. I like John Simm so I'll consider watching it.

I presume the title, apart from obviously being one of Bowie's hits from that time, is just referring to life in the 70s being like another planet for Sam!!

My original post saying I thought it was about someone living on Earth now seems stupid. ;D

I can't believe you wrote all that out and nearly 3 o clock in the morning though!

So why haven't you explained to J-B that he can't have my wife?

J-B is a necessary evil, he is connected to necessary kneecappers (Don't ask)

On that note, I must attempt to get some beauty sleep - I have a long day of wedding planning tomorrow with Fit Lauren.

Hope to see you all tomorrow

I saw it & thought "i want no part of that filth "...ok I'm joking!!

Which brings me rather neatly to another question...

When Prince did his 'Sexy MF' hit do we think he was fancying a marathon session on Martin Fowler, a fumble inside Mrs Fanshaw's red silk dressing gown, or do we think he was just a fan of the Digital Spy Main Forum!!

Sadly we may now never know......

I've just realised how strange we must look to people just passing by and reading
I can assure you that this thread is a lovely, welcome read when I wake up in the night I don't usually stay awake for very long, which is why I don't join in. It always makes me smile though because of the funny and friendly posts.

As you were

Night KK, same time tomorrow?
Filth

It gets going around nime doesn't it.

I think that 1am watershed is too late. How are me, Attitude and KK supposed to have enjoyable conversations if there's a watershed
We still have enjoyable conversations, it's just that more filth gets added to them as the time passes.

Looks like I fell asleep with the laptop still on this thread!

This looks like a very enjoyable and sometimes dirty thread.

I might post later.
