There is a difference between dull and real.....perhaps to 'dull' for reality TV.....even tho a winner.

But

Not to stupid to do the most 'shocking' 'thick' 'crude'.....act to win the game or lose the game.

Not even close. He instigated some of the most interesting moments of the series.

LOL No.

Sam and Cameron take that honor.

I think Jason won because of Charlie and Lateysha and Ryan; not because of Jason. That's OK with me because I think it was an anti-production vote (see Aaron, Rachel Rice etc.). I do think he was very morose, but I was happy he won.

The person who won last year too could be added to the list.

Yep. He also was involved in so many of the stroylines this year......he made annihilation week too.......he will go down in BB history for that.

The anti drama, anti showmance, the most modest, the anti squeeling, the anti attention seeker and the anti clique won..Nothing wrong with that..

He didnt want to get drawn into any sort of drama or showmance with Charlie when he could have easily...She was begging for it and not going along with it cause him SO much strife, arguments and tension.

He didnt play bb's game and had to stand up to the tide against him, because they didnt get him...the clique made up stuff constantly to make him look bad (and still do) cos they didnt get him...They refused to listen to him when he wanted to speak..

In fact (apart from Evelyn) the older ones have shown how to have self respect, respect, understanding, interest and even how to hold a conversation...As I've said many times, how the f@ck do you react when you have to spend two months in what is basically a youth club..the immaturity and self entitlement shown this year has been on another level..

Some older people lasted in this and made it better than it usually is on CH5.

Sam (BB14) holds that title.

Screaming, arguing and showmancing is what people think passes for entertainment and personality these days, including the wannabe housemates. That kind of thing is only entertaining when it has contrast. There should,be peaks and valleys, not constant drama as it loses impact and is poor story telling. The valleys should be conversations, developing the characters, housemates having fun.

The fact is Jason had a great story that people connected with and became emotionally involved in. So he won.

At least Jason wasn't a winner by designation. Pete Bennett was predicted as the winner of BB7 on the first day of the series. Now that is dull.

Certainly not for this more mature lady - I find his overdeveloped bouncers' physique and gnarled face quite repulsive. I prefer my men with an intellect and personality that Jason patently lacks.

Funny, I didn't find him remotely dull when he uttered the word "Lateysha" and I positively squealed when he said "Ryan" a few days later.

I am pleased he won although I am somewhat surprised. In truth who ever had won, not everyone would have been happy.

Neither do I. Just because he didn't get involved with the children arguing all the time does not make Jason Dull. He is the strong, silent type and I like that in a man - not someone who is in your face all the time. Jason put up with a lot of sh*t in that house and I am surprised he was still there at the end. A weaker person would have left (I know he tried to eventually once they had completely broken him but I am pleased he stayed.) He was my winner before all of this and I am delighted that he won. He deserved to win.

No, Sam and Cameron were both less dull than Jason, though in Sam's case it may be close.

I think the eye candy part is more significant than many have acknowledged.

Rather Jason than Helen? That's setting the bar very low. I thought he was the best out of the final three, which is still a pretty low bar but nonetheless much higher than Helen's level.

Of course that isn't what made him dull.

Never bad mouthed anyone in there, never bad mouthed an ex, was private, supported others, This is the best one in the house to win.

Rather him than the argumentative, moaning, bitching, complaining, two faced, nonintellectual people who normally win.

Craig was a rubbish HM too. But the first 4 BBs had many poor HMs.

It's not what I think is entertainment. Fortunately, Jason-like dullness and arguing & showmancing are not the only possibilities.

There has to be something interesting about the "valleys", though. I don't think there was in Jason's case or that he had a great story. Indeed, I think it makes much more sense the other way around. Rather than liking Jason as a HM because he had a great story, his story seemed great because he was liked.

I agree, I wasn't upset/sad he won. I was just glad Jackson didn't.
My dislike for Jason has evaporated pretty much.
He's just very dull and typical of a saddo dad that tries to go out with 'the boys' at the weekend. He's not evil or even that much of a clever gameplayer, just a dull, boring man.

Well, yes. Those things would have existed within the house. They just weren't wanted as part of the storytelling.

The story surrounding Jason in the show, including his behaviour within it, had people emotionally involved to the point some were voting who hadn't voted in years, and others were voting multiple times. That's a great story.
