I wanted Jason to win, but wouldn't have minded Hughie. He was so gracious in defeat, and no sour grapes such as Laura and Sam displayed, even though Hughie came nearest and Laura and Sam had no chance. Yes, Hughie really showed a lovely side last night.

You could tell by the way Hughie was sitting that he so desperately wanted to win though. I think he was only 'gracious in defeat' because he didn't want to come across as hateful. Would Hughie have told Ryan, Lateysha and Charlie to stop rubbing his win in Jason's face if he had won? I have strong doubts on that.

It certainly shut up Lateysha and her bedroom bitches didn't it and she was not happy at all that Jason won, she had a face like a smacked arse a lot of the time in the BOTS studio! Ryan constantly tried to get in on the action, when Hughie came out of the house and kissing him on the lips, which Hughie did not seem to like and then going up yo Jason at the end and shaking his hand when Emma had finished with Jason's interview and then Ryan pushing himself up front next to Rylan when Bewitched was singing and they were all dancing at the end!

I hope Hughies family persuade him to stay away from Ryan in the future, I'm sure Ryan lost him the win with his nasty mouth!

He was nervous. Of course he wanted to win, he was fidgeting a lot and he probably thought there was a chance as he was getting cheered.

Either way, he was brilliant.

Hughie has never had a problem with Jason, of course he was happy he won. He hasn't bad a proper problem with anyone apart from Natalie.

I think Laura only stated what a lot of people thought! But at the end of the day it is a game show and Jason played it, hence why he won!

He congratulated Jason numerous times, despite having one or two differences with him. He seems like a lovely young man.”

He did, and as Salv pointed out below, he only has an issue with Natalie. I think it's fair to say he is genuine and it was nice of him to congratulate Jason.

And as for how he would have behaved, how can people condemn him on possible behaviour or a scenario that never happened!?

Hughie for me has ranked as one of my all time favorite housemates.

I loved his interview. So gracious.

I loved it when he picked Emma up and swung her around.

What a lovely boy. He's be a great, loyal friend.

Yes, Hughie was brilliant and he took Jason winning very graciously, and his interview was the best of the night, loved the comedian taking off Hughie too! I think Hughie did have a massive problem with Andy as well as Natalie early on when he kept following Andy around the room calling him a story carrier! I don't think Andy ever really forgave Hughie for making him feel so low and alone for that!

I seen that too on BBOTS.

Hughie's look of, "leave me alone"

There's a time and a place.

I think Hughie probably felt suffocated by Ryan's attempts to be in your face, fame hungry, air time.

I'm sure quite a lot of us have been in that situation where we like someone, but their personality is too in your face that it actually turns you off them.

I was thinking to myself, stay in your seat Ryan!

Totally agree with you here, let's hope he distances himself from Ryan though!

Yes as much as I like Hughie I dislike Ryan just as much and like you say Ryan is so fame hungry and a real little twerp!

In his eviction interview he said Jason created his own problems, which seemed a very strange thing to say. We saw who Hughey associated with.

Being a big fan of the show he knew exactly what kind of gameplan he was doing and we've seen it all before, diva strops mixed with Irish cheeky chappy, mixed wtih stupid remarks like Jade and others mixed with fake showmance. So glad he didn't win.

Superficially people think he looks cute, but I don't care.

I think it was way too much to have been put on - that was natural exuberance. Of course he was disappointed, but he didn't need to have been quite so excitable if he wanted to be seen as a good loser.

I don't think he expected to even get to the final - it's likely ingrained in him that he would suffer rejection in life.

He proved doubters wrong, and if that was acting last night, he needs to be on a plane to Hollywood.

Exactly,

people are forgetting he has lived life being bullied, spoken down to and receiving a lot of hate because he is a traveler... then even more abuse from the travelers for being bi.

He constantly went through life being rejected and kicked down. The fact that he left to come here, hear the cheers for him and everyone chanting his name would mean much more to him than others.

So who could blame him for being nervous and think he have a chance after hearing he has been accepted.

I disagree with you.

Yeah I'm sure he would have liked to have won, who wouldn't, but he was just thankful to have got to where he got.

Agree and you could 100% tell that from the way he came across. He was so thankful.

I really REALLY hope it was genuine. Just the way he's spoken about him before, I can't be sure..

Fair enough. If Hughie continues to be okay with Jason winning and maybe even posing for a photo with him away from the set, okay.

What you see with Hughie is what you get.

I don't think Hughie would hold a grudge. What's done is done.

He didn't and as you say, credit to him.

Travellers don't have it easy. Being so insular doesn't help but chicken and egg...

Which is what is great.

I found out through his family, friends and the community he comes from about the crap he has been through. The fact he didn't mention the bad things that has happened to him proves he was not looking for an ounce of sympathy.

It's bullshit to say it's about stories outside the house, it's about what happened in the house. Those who treated Jason like crap got their just deserts.

Only during the week after Annihilation I guess. He has never nominated him up to that point. And they were on good terms in the final week.
