I would like to see better tasks like 'in the old days'. The standing on a box, sitting under a box, drawing each other, sorting through maggots, and longer tasks. These garden sports gunge things are a really lazy way of doing this. The hotel task was quite good last year, but I remember back in the day when they would get them out of bed in the night when the hooter blew or music played - they were quite good, also endurance tests, tag bike riding etc. I think they have it a wee bit easy these days.

Love the fact that there were three older people in the final this time. Mature people have better developed personalities, have more life experience; as a (ahem) older person myself, I do find some of the youngsters rather shallow (read boring).

I haven't been to enamoured in recent years with the way civvy BB's gone, I much prefer the celeb one, but this one was really good all in all. The shorter timescale worked brilliantly IMO.

Hoping some of the leaked celebrities are correct for tomorrow, fingers crossed for James Whale

I used to love seeing them adding up the shopping list on a big blackboard and taking it to the diary room. Haven't seen that for years so wouldn't be surprised to find it was done on a computer, which is why it's kept out of sight.

These days there is no proper food or cigarette deprivation either. They win a budget shopping budget, but it still seems to have unlimited fags and are awarded opportunities to eat such as barbeques, pool parties, pizza etc out of the blue. They get alcohol every night and pour it all together to make a fish bowl. None of this happened in the good old BB days.

Yeah I agree with all this. The arguments that used to ensue about shopping lists. That year when Rex ordered a whole load of something (bananas or sommat) was really funny. I assume they just get a load of shopping delivered now without them having to chose what they want?

I'm sure they just take in as many cigs as they want now. If I remember rightly Ryan was complaining that he'd run out because he'd only taken enough in for 2 weeks. I think in the beginning they were rationed as to how many they could take in.
