Hughie thinks others were more deserving of the win

Quote:
“ he feels there were several other housemates more "deserving" of the win than the property developer, such as Lateysha Grace.

"If I'm honest, I think that there's not a doubt more deserving winners, but I'm really happy for him and I wish him all the best," he said.

[...]

but I just think there's others like Alex, Ryan, Jackson, Lateysha."

[...]

"Maybe his dad and his friends have a £10,000 phone bill. I don't understand."

Sounds like someone has been dripping poison in Hughie's ear.

Oh dear! Arrogance personified. Maybe one day he'll learn about life and mix with a wide variation of people and personalities.

Jumping around laughing lots ( often made up for the camera's ) as in LETS just do SOMETHING.. ANYTHING for attention. Shouting/screaming like a banshee.

None of that automatically makes a worthy winner!

Theyre just validating and rehashing each others spite.

he's lost the argument as soon as he mentioned Alex being a deserving winner

basically, he's saying "me or one of my friends should have won"

This is the problem with today's potential housemates. They think the majority want to see attention seeking, screaming in peoples faces, almost naked twerking, sex blah blah. Their own ridiculous and over inflated egos cloud their judgement so much that they can't for the life of them fathom how an "ordinary" guy walked away as the winner.

You do know how "phone bill" comment was said in jest?

he was hanging with Jason at the after party and didn't say anything he hadn't already said. Why can't he say that he thought others would be more deserving? Of course he'd want his friends to win over Jason.

He is HAPPY for Jason, the papers just steer questions into given answers like these... for example... "so are you disappointed in Jason winning and do you think you deserve it more?", those are the types of questions that those interviews ask.

he's happy for Jason, he's said it repeatedly.

It's Ryan and Lateysha dripping poison into his ears and he is unfortunatley listening to it.

It's disappointing that the three vipers have got to him already.

He said himself as more worthy! That's quite high up the ladder of arrogance.

Like I said, he probably hasn't mixed with that many different personalities, in life yet. He thinks you have to be only 'one' way to be 'worthy'.

He needs to keep well away from Ryan, that's my view. Hughie has good potential imo. But keep away from Ryan e.t.c. first.

Hunt him down Salv, and have a word with Hughie. You're young and well rounded as far as I can work out. Have a word.

Hughie doesn't use the word worthy at all during that interview, despite the newspaper using the word in quotes in the headline. This thread actually tells us nothing about Hughie, but a lot about how easily manipulated some people are by the media.

Baseless unfounded twaddle. If that's the case then I deserved to win it too.

I'm really happy for him and I wish him all the best," he said.

"He won it fair and square at the end of the day - there's not any kind of bitterness or any grudges I'm going to carry on

And he is a very, very, very strong person and a big man, and he's capable of taking care of himself."

I think people have forgotten them bits, he obviously wanted his lot to win, but he has repeatedly said he won it fair and square. He's not kicking off about it, and I said, the people on Twitter at the after party stated how close Jason and Hughie were... but obviously the papers won't concentrate on that.

Ah well.

I'm sure he did Salv, but he also said that many others deserved to win more than Jason. That's arrogance, it's telling the viewers that they are wrong, those that watched it every night for weeks aren't capable of making the right decision on who should win. Total breathtaking arrogance.

He's young, easily influenced and unaware of his arrogant stance so he can be forgiven some, but he should be made aware that like Lateysha and Ryan, he sounds bitter.

The article DID use quotes for the statement 'Lateysha or I would have been a more worthy winner than Jason' he did use the word worthy or they would not have put it in quotes

I did not add the quotation marks, they were part of the article and I am not easily manipulated by the media
