i assumed they were holding back footage to boost saturday night ratings
maybe i assumed wrong
i should give up trying to second guess channel 5
It probably would've boosted the ratings if it was going out at 9pm as there is interest, think half ten is just too late for people to even care

Channel 5 (exc. +1)
Celebrity Big Brother: the Eviction (9pm): 1.57m (8.4%)
Celebrity Big Brother: the Eviction (10.30pm): 1.35m (9.8%)
Better than I expected. Around 1.7m for first show I assume and 1.5m for 2nd. Great share for 2nd show.

Not terrible at 10 30pm to be fair and a Saturday. Around 1.2m. It will be up to the 1.6m-1.7m range tonight I reckon

1.33m exc+1, tonight will probably be around 1.5m exc+1. There's always a bit of a bump on mondays, the consolidated ratings for the first few days will be out this afternoon...

So around 1.5m incl +1 for last night. Meh.

I agree there will be a bump, perhaps 1.7m tonight and 1.8m tomorrow for the eviction?

Yep last 2 officials for BB17 out today, and the first 4 for CBB.

i think sundays will perform poorly throughout the series. In the channel 4 days sundays were one of the worst rating days along with saturdays...

Yep, it's been doing poorly recently too. Although worth noting that even excl +1 it's above last years 2nd Sunday which got 1.31m incl +1.

Here's Fridays ratings with +1

Celebrity Big Brother (9pm): 1.7m (9%)

Decent rating.

Sat 30th- 2.00m (1.35m)

Bad for last night.... clearly dented by the Olympics which got 7m during BB was on.

9pm Reality Shows - inc. +1 channels

Eden (C4): 790,000 / 3.5% series low
Celebrity Big Brother (C5): 1.4m / 6.4%

Source: Broadcast

That 1.4m will most likely be ~1.8-1.9m. That's terrible for Eden.

1.52m excl +1 which should mean around 1.7m incl +1 which would make it the same as the first eviction.

Including +1:
Endeavour (Repeat): 2m (9.5%)
Celebrity Big Brother: 1.7m (7.9%)
An Hour to Save Your Life: 1.5m (7.2%)
First Dates: 940k (5.7%)
The Job Interview: 706k (3.3%)
Borderline: 380k (2.1%)

Good rating for CBB.

Ouch at Job Interview and especially Borderline!

1.38m last night

Awful rating, expect it to stay around or even less than this as long as the vile 4 are favoured and remain in there.

Same level as civilian BB later on in its series

Nope, that's exc; +1.

Including it's around 1.6m, which would be above 2m in officials, above last summers CBB series.

It's stayed extremely consistent despite Olympics being against it, the first HL show also got 1.6m.

You need to actually read the ratings properly before commenting, it's doing well at 1.6m-1.7m nightly (CBB14 numbers), the Gary Busey year.

And no it's not the same level as civilian. BB17 at it's peak got 1.40m. This already is 200k higher than that peak.

Celebrity Big Brother: 1.6m (6.9%)

CBB continues to post solid ratings even up against Olympics which peaked at 8.1m at the time of the diving which aired at same time.

I'd predict tonight being at around 1.7m and then the same for the eviction.

Interesting to note, the last big Olympic clash which got the same sort of peak (around 8m), had CBB fall to 1.4m on Monday, so it seems that 200k more people were willing to watch BB last night. Built up an audience since Monday? Strange.

The series ended with a 1.58m average, third highest civilian series from C5.

BBC2:
Versailles: 961k (4.2%)

Very decent ratings the last 2 days which surprises me. Increase for tonight, 1.7m for both Thursday and eviction?

The Cruise (Repeat): 1.8m (9.2%)
Celebrity Big Brother: 1.7m (8.2%)
999: What's Your Emergency?: 1.4m (7%)
Paul O'Grady's Animal Orphans (Repeat): 1.3m (6.4%)

Great for CBB. Very healthy share.

I expect tonight to be the same.

I don't think it is a case of being late sir as 1030 interviews used to be quite normal back in the day. I think it is more a case of casual viewing and the viewer loyalty is now diminished. I know back in the day when Big Brother was at its peak it would be sacrosanct at work if you had missed the interview especially good housemates.

Chloe's comments on the live feed effectively proved (regardless of the media b/s and the people on ds forums who make stuff up or follow the papers that write stuff to entertain not inform) that CBB neither started early nor is ending early....
