Looks like the huge Olympic ratings and peaks damages everything.
Channel 4 (exc. +1) 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown: 0.96m (4.7%) Friday Night Dinner: 0.76m (4.1%) Amazing Spaces: Shed of the Year: 0.76m (3.8%) Channel 5 (exc. +1) Celebrity Big Brother: Live Eviction (9pm): 1.43m (7.1%) Celebrity Big Brother: Live Eviction (10.30pm): 1.37m (8.0%) It's Not Me, It's You: 0.57m (3.0%) That should be around 1.6m for the first show and 1.5m for the 2nd. First show is down 100k from the first 2 evictions however the interview show was up on Grants last Friday despite a huge Olympic peak against it. |

BBC 1
19:00-22:00: Olympics 2016 - 6.04m 22:30: Match of the Day - 3.08m BBC 2 19:30: BBC Proms - 990k 21:30: Edinburgh Nights - 410k 22:10-23:55: Olympics 2016 - 3.61m ITV (exc. HD & +1) 19:15: Catchphrase - 2.10m 20:00: The Nation's Favourite 80s Number One - 1.47m 21:30: Film: The Bourne Identity - 720k Channel 4 (exc. +1) 22:00: Film: Gladiator - 530k Channel 5 (exc. +1) 19:00: Cricket on 5 - 510k 22:30: Celebrity Big Brother - 980k BBC 4 19:00-22:00: Olympics 2016 - 930k It's not surprising that it was low, that will be around 1m with +1. Having it on so late IMO is ridiculous. Saturdays are bad enough for BB in the last 17 year, to put it up against the Olympics (well it was inevitable) and Match of The Day on such a late slot, I actually expected less, especially considering CBB beat both Channel 4 and ITV. Despite the later start and the competition, it was still up on last summers 3rd Saturday which got 940k. Tonight... 1.6m? That's where I reckon it will stay to the end. |

Channel 5 (exc. +1) Celebrity Big Brother: 1.36m (6.2%) But with +1 CBB will have been around 1.5m-1.6m which IMO is great up against the Olympics. Everything around the Olympics is falling, but CBB has stayed the same pretty much. Odd because judging by the series reaction, you'd expect it to be sub 1m! For example on Sunday, CBB was only 300k behind Dragon's Den which usually gets in the high 2 million range, but got 1.8m on Sunday as CBB got 1.5m. |

Oddly enough Broadcast hasn't included the +1 rating despite putting in Naked Attraction on there, when they have never included shows on the article that are that late.

I have seen some of the Olympics ratings. They're unbelievable!!
So it is very encouraging to see CBB staying pretty much the same.Tonight will be a big day with the possibility of 3 Gold wins for GB so I don't expect any type of spike for CBB until the Olympics finish. |

To those who missed the officials, here are the increases from overnights to officials. Overnights in brackets...
M - 2.35m (1.8m) T - 2.15m (1.6m) W - 2.0m (1.5m) T - 2.31m (1.8m) F - 2.23m / 1.87m (1.7m/1.35m) S - 1.87m (1.30m) S - 2.13m (1.55m) Avg - 2.12 million Series average - 2.16m 500k-600k increases!! It will probably be bigger increases for next week officials as I assume more people have recorded because of the Olympics. Additional notes: In the overnights so far, there has been 19 days so far that have been posted, and 17/19 of them have been higher than last summers series. The officials so far (11 days worth of ratings) are ALL up on last summers series. CBB16 at this point was averaging 1.98m officially (it averaged 1.89m at the end of the run). This series is currently averaging 2.16m. |

First time a summer one has averaged higher than a winter one for a while
Winter series is always MUCH higher bar the first 2 as CBB8 was basically summer but was higher due to it being the first C5 series, here are the official averages: CBB8 (summer)- 2.8M CBB9 (winter)- 2.6M CBB10 (summer)- 2.2M CBB11 (winter)- 2.8M CBB12 (Summer)- 2.3M CBB13 (Winter)- 3.1M CBB14 (Summer)- 2.1M CBB15 (Winter)- 3.1M CBB16 (Summer)- 1.9M CBB17 (Winter)- 2.8M CBB18 (Summer)- 2.16M SO FAR. |

1.6m incl +1 last night.
Very good considering the huge Olympic ratings and content over on BBC1. Everything else collapsed around the Olympics. First Dates couldn't even muster half a million. In fact outside of the Olympics and the news, CBB was the 3rd highest rated show of the whole day behind just Emmerdale and Endeavaur, which has been heavily dented by the Olympics and is now only 200k above CBB. |

Nope, not the winter one. The comparisons are with the summer series. Summer series never gets compared to winter.

Now last night: Channel 5 (exc. +1) Celebrity Big Brother: 1.65m (8.1%) Looks set to be the highest rating since launch when +1 is added, should be around 1.8m. |

Celebrity Big Brother: 1.83m (9%)
999: What's Your Emergency?: 1.5m (7.5%) The 80s with Dominic Sandbrook: 1.4m (6.7%) Paul O'Grady's Animal Orphans (Repeat): 1.3m (6.4%) Secrets of a Police Marksman: 933k (6.1%) Fantastic rating for last night. CBB is the only show that has not been dented heavily by the Olympics. In fact, it seems to be doing the opposite. |

Seems as though ratings have reached their low point - for now - not going down any further but not going up (significantly) either.

Officials are in. I will post what the overnights were in brackets too.
Monday 8th- 2.03m (1.4m) Tuesday 9th- 2.15m (1.7m) Weds 10th- 2.21m (1.6m) Thursday 11th- 2.29m (1.7m) Friday 12th Part 1- 2.05m (1.6m) Friday 12th Part 2- 2.05m (1.37m) Sat 13th- 1.83m (1.15m) Sunday 14th- 2.19m (1.5m) Week average- 2.10m incl +1 Some huge timeshifts there! Official series average so far- 2.13m incl +1 Currently still ahead of last summers series which at the end averaged 1.89m, so beating it so far by 240k. CBB14 officially averaged 2.14m! Extremely close. But I reckon this series should average in the 2.1m at the end anyway, I don't feel it will drop to 2.04m or below. |
