Isn't there an unbongo against this?

Being very obvious.

I was thinking this.

Aren't they usually not allowed to be as obvious as this?

Unbongo😊😊

Is that the stuff they drink in the Congo?
*disclaimer* you might not get this reference if you are a young person.

I know the younger ones will not have a clue who this fella is, but if ever there was a marmite man it's going to be him. In the 80's he did have his own tv show and is still on radio, he pulls no punches with his opinions, he is very intelligent but think's he is right I would say at least 95% of the time. He is getting on a bit now too so maybe he's mellowed, but I doubt it. He will probably bring fireworks and aim them right at other hm's faces.

I was just trying to work out how old he must be now as I remember him from the 80's and he wasn't exactly a spring chicken then Mind you, when you're young yourself, everyone seems older than they are.

I expect he will be quite controversial, but hopefully in a good way!

Looking on Twitter, it seems quite a few of the younger audience know him which surprises me. I'm in my 20s and I know him, but I usually have more knowledge as I know a lot about media, read papers, read online, listen to radio etc... Surprised there are 16 year olds who know who he is.

I know who he is, does that mean I'm old?
I used to listen to him every night on Talkradio under my duvet...starting from my early teens. I learnt so much about the world, politics, sex etc, from his show. He hated racism, was cvery vocal about his opinions and took no sh*t from anyone. I hope he definitely is going in.

I can't believe James Whale is going in.

He seems like the person you'd least expect. And I don't know why he's doing it. He has work, a good life, and he's 65 years old.

Maybe he craves more of the limelight, who knows???

Well he is still on the radio I suppose. And he was a forerunner (in the UK at least) to the 'freak-show' culture that's prominent today.

I like James Whale have done since his late nite TV show.

No doubt he'll be one of these controversial marmite characters, that I will love and everyone will hate

65?! Man, in my head he was about 65 back when he had his tv show!

I was clearly very judgemental about bald people when I was younger!

He was balding back then and had a mini fringe. Now he is completely bald.

He was on LBC maybe 5 years ago. So not that obscure.

I think he was a total troll on LBC.

He's 65, I just looked it up, do you remember his phone in's?, Sometimes even if he agreed with you he'd disagree with you just so he could have an argument hehehe. Helen Lederer is going in too, another very clever woman, she's done it all, acting, writing, comedien. At the moment you might recognise her voice from Posh Pawn, the show that flits between Sheffield the south coast Bexhill on sea and Penzance, she's got really pale blue peircing eyes.

I know nothing about this years CBB but I would have thought that anyone entering would be under contract to not speak about it in any shape or form. Does anyone follow CBB enough to know if in previous years zelebs have advertised they were going in and then actually did that same year?

Is this the James Whale who used to do late night ITV Chat shows, and his quests would sit there and drink a bottle of wine

Yes. And his friend Cookie was on that show huge boobs. Used to perform a lap dance occasionally. Well I was a teenager. She was ok. Haha.

I can't wait for tonight. I still cannot believe he is going in.

Until I see him go through those doors.

Yes I'm very excited about Helen. Known her (not personally obviously ) since The Young Ones/Bottom days and that whole circle of alternative comedy.

I remember my mum and brother sitting up all hours watching James and laughing themselves silly. He's gonna be fun
