I thought he was out of his depth. Perhaps BOTS would have been more suitable, where his funny personality could have shone.

I agree patsy, he was terribly wooden at the autocue stuff, but that was production imo - like the tux etc they just wouldn't let him be himself. Rhey did learn to an extent - Emma's always had free reign imo and at the start it was all the better for it, but it's just gone way too far.

He was far better at the interviews imo too. Pride and politics probably won't allow it to happen but I think he'd do a great job on BOTS.


I've long said this was her final series, and after CBB she'll be off, with Rylan doing the main show and someone else taking BOTS. This was like her final 'I don't care it's all about meeeeeee!!!' moment imo.

I don't think she was checking anything in the earpiece except for how long she had left for the interview.

She should have asked Jackson about his part time stutter, that would have excused the rest of her poor interviewing.

Emma seems to let her excitement get the better of her and just starts babbling so the interviewee can barely get a word in. It was a little embbarassing i thought.
I like Brian and its a shame BB got rid of him.

it seems to me that she's already done the interview in her head or when talking about the HM with others , so she just blurts out answers she's already said in those discussions like some desperate urge to prove that her opinions were the right ones , she doesn't seem to grasp that she's got the 'horse's mouth' right there in front of her .

ETA - Actually, to be fair to Dermot, I only appreciated how good he was when Caroline Flack and Olly Murs presented The X Factor last year.

She was asking them questions and just as they started answering them half of the time she interrupted them and answered the question for them.
