Sure there's so many other ways to measure it, but DR entries is one of mine.

I'm sorry but this series DR entries were head and shoulders above most series on C5. I think it's great that we saw an increase in DR entries. Something missing from 15 and 16 was the lack of them. I can't remember anyone's entries bar Chris' in BB15, Ashleigh targeting Ash and Jade's "oww, someone in the house doesn't like me" on BB16.

This year we had:

- Andrew's gameplay talk at the start of the series in wanting to cause paranoia
- Hughie's Natalie breakdown and him drunk in the DR.
- Natalie's DR entries
- Nearly every one of Jayne's ones.... from telling BB off, "don't effing give me that shit lady!" to sitting on the floor of the DR, the "drugs" moment, How's The Tea?, her Tea and Bread breakdown, her sleep deprivation breakdown, her breakdown about the cleaning etc...
- Andy's DR entries.
- Evelyn's DR entry about Jackson and the money
- Laura telling the crowd to F themselves

That's only a handful.

This is one aspect which makes the series. I can't remember anything from BB15 and BB16 bar from the things I mentioned.

The bit where Chelsea threatened to leave if he didn't get a bottle of wine was brilliant

Also, Laura and Evelyn the day after Ryan's eviction about Jason looking "fit" and Ev's reaction too. Light hearted moments like that.

Yeah agreed. I think in the next series as well the hm's will be more cautious as to what they say in the DR after what happened in this series 🙄

I think they may have ruined the DR for themselves by showing too much of what was said in there. People are going to start to be more cautious if they think what they say about another hm is going to be played back to the whole house.

I loved Natalie's "Jayne, go make a cup of tea" rant. Quite a few of Jackson's were good as well, he has a great sense of humour.

Hasn't this been happening for a while on CH5?

My main problem is these tasks about what people think (audience or other HMs) are so repetitive. They really have no imagination on this program now.

The diary room entries have been some of the best I have seen in a while from a civillian series

Jayne being the obvious winner.

BB16: I remember Jade's "people in the house don't like me" rant and I also remember Cristian walking in there in sunglasses, being asked to take them off and then him just crying. I also remember Cristian saying about how Jack using one of his immunities to save Cristian from nomination was one of the nicest things anyone had ever done for him.

Marc's classic- "If I get evicted, this place is going to be like Sesame Street" was good.


BB15: Some of Chris' diary room monologues were very good, and a couple of Mark Byron's were very funny as well. I liked his rant about cooking: "Pauline says, 'why buy pasta sauce when we can make it?' BECAUSE IT'S TWO-THOUSAND AND F*CKING FOURTEEN, PEOPLE BUY THINGS READY-MADE!"
