Connor returns from London, and is shocked to find Ellie is not in their flat. He attempts to call her, but Ellie is too busy passionately kissing Dodger in the Boathouse. Liberty enters, and the pair break away. Liberty makes a joke, asking if Dodger's sticking around now. Dodger shrugs, before asking if Liberty can leave them alone, flirtatiously adding that he'd like to "show her the lower deck" of the boat. Ellie scoffs as Liberty cringes and leaves. Ellie returns back to her flat following her passionate encounter with Dodger on the boat, and finds Connor, who questions where she's been. Ellie remarks that it's nice to see Connor, but he changes the subject, claiming he was expecting to find her when he got back. Ellie sighs, before telling Connor to sit down as she needs to tell him the truth. She admits she's in love with someone else, and Connor is distraught. He asks who it is, and Ellie lies, claiming it's no-one he knows, but Connor storms out.

However, after Diane is forced to take the day off due to being struck down with the flu, Tony calls Darren and he steps in to help. Darren's shift at The Hutch is going well until Connor storms round and punches him, believing him to be the man Ellie is in love with. Ellie rushes in and pulls Connor off of him, whilst Tony shouts at Connor and a confused Darren nurses his bloody nose. Connor pushes Ellie away and lunges at Darren, but Dodger enters and breaks the fight up, asking what has happened. Connor reveals Darren's having an affair with Ellie, and Dodger says it's not Darren - it's him, and they're in love!
Freddie attempts to reunite with brother Joe, but Joe is refusing to speak to Freddie, who was revealed to be having an affair with Joe's former fiancée Lindsey. Freddie asks Sandy to help him get back into Joe's good books, but Sandy says that he's just going to have to leave it. Freddie pleads with her as brother Ziggy enters, and chastises Sandy for even talking to Freddie, claiming that as far as any of his brothers are concerned, Freddie isn't a Roscoe. Sandy admits she can't just forget about Freddie completely, reminding Ziggy that they are all her boys, but Ziggy says she has to make a choice - him, Joe, Robbie and Jason, or Freddie. Sandy is disgusted. Freddie tells Sandy he won't be disappointed by her choice, as he understands it's hard for her. He then reveals Dirk and Liberty are moving into Cindy's flat, and Ellie asks Dodger what he will do with the Boathouse. However, Lindsey and Kim both agree that putting an ad in The Chester Herald will be a good idea, so set about doing it.
