I thought created League One thread for any users who got team in this division in upcoming season.

Who do people think will go up and will finish in bottom 4 this season?

I feel Millwall will end up champions with MK Dons or Charlton going up automatic, Bristol Rovers I feel may be dark horse this season and finish in around play offs maybe Oxford as well.

At bottom I feel Bury and Fleetwood may be ones that will go down possible with Wimbledon too but not too sure who be four teams let.

As for team who been here since 1997 well they got pretty much new team as all players from last season have gone parfrom five but come 1st September that might be down to three, Oldham got new manager Steve Robinson (former Ross County and coach role with Northern Ireland at Euro 2016) I not too sure how well he will do at Oldham but hopefully it be better season then last one (well before Sheridan came in) will this be season that Oldham finally leave this division? probably not as we probably still here in other 10/15 years time.

Millwall will finish 2nd or go up via playoffs. Bradford and Charlton will probably be up there too.

I don't usually venture into this section of the forum, but I feel very optimistic about Walsall's chances this season. Many of those commenting on League One from outside WS1 seem to view the Saddlers as potential strugglers, and I can see why what with us having lost six or seven of the superb first XI that came so agonisingly close to winning automatic promotion last season (chiefly Tom Bradshaw, Romaine Sawyers and Jason Demetriou) and with us appointing a rookie manager in John Whitney.

However, having followed the club closely and having watched a few pre-season matches, there is definitely big cause for optimism. I was one of the few who wanted to see Whitney get the job on a full-time basis rather than Sean O'Driscoll last December, and feel we would have gone up automatically had we made that appointment. Despite the exodus, he's continued to play the Dean Smith-style, ball on the ground, positive passing football we're known for, he's retained the spine of the team (Neil Etheridge, Jim O'Connor and Adam Chambers) plus the super talented left wing-back Rico Henry and has brought in some really exciting looking replacements for those who've left. Attacking midfielders Flo Cuvelier and Erhun Oztumer have really stood out in pre-season and Jason McCarthy, George Dobson and Josh Ginnelly look like solid prospects on-loan from Premier League clubs (I hope we can keep them beyond January). Yesterday's signing of Cyprus international striker Andreas Makris - breaking our 37-year transfer record, the longest standing one of any Football League club - is the icing on the cake.

Hopefully the combination of Makris, Simeon Jackson and Amadou Bakayoko can between them replace the 20 goals a season we're losing with Bradshaw's departure. The last Cypriot we brought wasn't too shabby - Southend have an absolute gem there in Demetriou, the best right-back in the division without any shadow of a doubt - and I'm hoping his international team mate will have a similar impact. I've been aware of Oztumer since his non-league days and feel he could be our standout player this season, he's incredibly creative and skilful on the ball and will make up for the loss of Sawyers.

Given the mass exodus from Bescot, I can see why quite a few rival fans are writing Walsall off already - but having watched them, I think they might surprise you.

Oldham started season with 3-0 defeat to Millwall, it sounds like we were poor today and players didn't really check but Millwall are good side and should be challenging for promotion this season. We knew play Wigan in cup then two home matches against Walsall and Northampton in league, way we played in pre season games and today I be happy if we get point in any of them two league games.

I see Bolton and Mk Dons both won they games and Charlton lost to Bury, none of promoted side from league two won but Northampton and Oxford both draw.

Charlton might be up there if they get rid of the imbeciles claiming to run their club before very long.

A solid performance yesterday with Jackson & Oztumer already making their mark.
The most attacking intent I've seen at the Banks's for a while. Loads of penetrating runs by Oztumer and Cuvelier.

Oldham draw 0-0 to Walsall yesterday which sound like fair results, it look like both teams had chances to win the game with Oldham probably had best of chances as we hit posts in second half. I hope we can score some goals soon as parfrom Cup match we haven't score a goal in any of two league matches so far but I'm hopeful that will change on Tues night against Northampton.

I see Gillingham and Bolton are only two teams who still have 100% after both won in yesterday matches, at other end of table Wimbledon and Southend are only teams in this division who still haven't pick up any points so far.

Other goalless draw for Oldham in they match against Northampton tonight, it sound like both teams wasn't that great and didn't really created much. Fair play to Northampton who are on 26 match unbeaten run that go back to January.

We now play local derby match against Bury (away) on Saturday which be my first match of season, I'm hoping Oldham can finally score a goal but I feel we need new striker as our striker we got don't look like scoring any time soon.

Shock to see Peterborough beat Millwall 5-1 and Southend beat Sheff Utd 3-0 Wimbledon are now only team who haven't pick up any points after they lost 2-1 to Scunthorpe.

I bet Sheff Utd fans regret hounding Nigel Clough out. Said it before and I'll say it again

Three games down, no goals scored. One conceded. Football's a sport that really stirs the heart.

Oldham won for first time this season after beating Bury 1-0, we lucky we didn't score other goal as we hit post late in first half but knowing our finally third were poor our defending was good and felt we deserve the victory. Bury didn't really created much chances and when they did they don't hit target, Bury look like a team that may straggle this season.

After watching Oldham for first time this season I feel we have good team and if can sign other sticker and created more chances in finally third we will cause few problems (specially big teams) this season.

I see Sheff Utd are bottom of table after they lost 2-1 to Millwall, Scunthorpe beat Gillingham 5-0 and Bolton continue with they 100% record after they beat Fleetwood 2-1.

Went to see Shrewsbury play yesterday and we won our first league match of the season 2-1 but really didn't deserve the win as Chesterfield dominated us in the second half. But a win is a win and we're out of the relegation zone.

It's pretty rare for partisan fans to speak ill of another club, these must be extreme circumstances at Bramall Lane.

Oldham draw 1-1 to Bradford which sound like we ride our lucky, happy to see we finally scored league goal (last week ones was own goal) but parfrom first 15 mins Bradford were all over us and better finishes from them would won them the match.

After five matches we sited in 13 places and unbeaten in four matches something I would took at start of season, our September matches don't look too bad and I feel we can win two/three matches in that months.

I see Swindon v Bristol Rovers match was Abandoned due to weather, Bolton lost they 100% record as Charlton score late equaliser goal and Bury came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 against Walsall.

My prediction of OUFC finishing comfortably, may be a little wrong.

In today's Sky games Northampton beat MK Dons quite comfortably while Sheff Utd stole a late win at Gillingham

Last season we hammered Millwall away early on, a year later we go there at the foot of the table without a win. Stupid football.

Northampton doing well to keep they unbeaten run going, just 20 matches to go until the beat Arsenal 49 unbeaten run record.

On Saturday Oldham lost 3-2 to Shrewsbury which sounds like we didn't deserve to lose and ref were against us as we had two stonewall penalty turnaway and even clear fouls wasn't given as wel.

Oldham draw 0-0 to Chesterfield which was our third goalless draw in four at home but aleast we keep four clean sheet in seven league matches so far this season. It sound like dull match and we could won the match in second half but Mckay hit posts.

Our next match is against Coventry who got good draw against Millwall today, I see Coventry have draw same amount as us and haven't really score much so should be goalless draw.

I see Scunthorpe are up to 2nd after they beat Southend 4-0 and they were only team in top 6 to win today.

Scunthorpe have started to become on a roll, since they dispatched Gillingham with ease a couple of weeks ago it really got the ball rolling for them. Bolton still look the team to beat this season though.
