It use to be the elder characters who made the show good. Hopefully new good ones come in.
The show does need another older male character. I also forgot Claudette in that group but she too may be axed. |

SOC can't do any worse than DTC, Kirkwood and Newman.
I have a horrible feeling Sean O'Connor will ditch newer dull characters with dull storylines while keeping older dull characters with dull storylines. Producers with links to the past rarely get rid of older characters. Sometimes you need a completely new producer to come in and do that. |

They should have held on to Pam at the very least.
Think Donna and Claudette will be gone before the year's up. |

Got to voice my total disappointment here. Pam and Les have been two of the most ordinary, down to earth characters created under the DTC era. Sad thing is good producers know you need characters like that who stay mostly in the background stabilising the bigger characters to give a good blend of characterisation throughout the company. Bad producers don't.
I only hope the new producer knows what he's doing - DTC spent a lot of time on developing the depth of the cast as a whole on EastEnders and it would be a great shame to see that all undone. |

Ronnie and Billy need to go into partnership now, taking over the Undertakers. So much storyline potential there.

While I didn't mind the Cokers. I have to say Les is the worst actor in Eastenders by far. His expressions are ridiculous.

Ronnie would be perfect for the Undertakers. |

He's clearing out DTC's weak characters. Good job. Donna next, please.
I think Shakil could be axed too. |
