It can't be entertaining with people like Biggins and Frankie and the Loose Woman in it.

People are allowed to voice their opinions on here regardless of how they do it. That is their way of summing up the line up & their opinion of them just like yours might be that they are great! There's no need to be rude, if you didn't like the thread you didn't need to comment on it!

The last one wasn't, or the one before, or the one before that, which takes us to the Gary Busy one which was just barely tolerable.

The only interaction that would make it a good series would be if they all drove each other out of the house and were replaced by a completely new set of housemates.

Maybe the OP expects to hear from people with similar views, or who have a good reason why it might be a good series after all, rather than from people who just want to make digs and try to wreck the thread.

It's far too early to give up. You have to be really punished and at your wit's end before you're allowed to do that.

Why couldn't Channel 5 ignore the reality TV trap that most of these 'celebrity' events fall into and sign up celebrities that the majority have a fondness for?

I think it would be a great series if they signed up pop stars, telly icons, sports stars from the seventies, eighties or nineties. Household names who have stories to tell probably involving fellow housemates and as the pressure ramps up in there, the odd mask slips and a few skeletons fall out the locker. Even probably the noughties or a few household names of today rather than reality telly nonentities.

At least James Whale is opinionated and entertaining. Biggins and Sam Fox will be too. Throw in the likes of Rodney Marsh, Bob Mortimer, Chris Eubank, Tim Vine and some younger actors or actresses or telly presenters that people like, recognise and are interesting without a f**k or a boom in sight

The poster asking if they couldn't just bugger off quietly was only voicing their opinion

Firstly most of the said reality trash you refer to are from Channel 5/MTV so from their own TV shows. Secondly the housemates you would want on Celebrity BB did appear one time on the Celeb version but were completely disrespected by BB Producers. No real Celeb would go on a show like BB because Producers do not respect real celebs, they humiliate them on National TV. They burned their bridges a long time ago when celebs saw previous series!

People who are actually "celebrities" on "Celebrity" Big Brother, I would imagine! You know, household names, whether they're liked or not. To me a celebrity is really someone who is a household name. They can be a loved or hated celebrity but whether you like them or not you will have HEARD of them. That's a celebrity to me.

Anyway, I forgot to watch tonight so I'll catch up tomorrow. I've just read, though, the list of the names of the 15 people who've gone into the house tonight. I've heard of 5 out of the 15 - Christopher Biggins, Samantha Fox, Frankie Grande (I only know him from having seen him on stage with Miranda Sings), James Whale (radio/tv presenter, yes?) and Katie Waissel (I remember her from X Factor). Who on earth are the other 10?! I haven't read what they're all apparently famous for yet, I just literally saw the list of their names - but I can almost 100% guess that most of them will be from other reality shows. You know the same old usual Towie, Geordie Shore and stuff like that, yes? In other words, not celebrities at all! I'm absolutely positive there'll be some from those shows, CBB is so predictable that way. Always people from the same old reality shows, year after year, I'm positive! Oh, plus I think a couple of them will be claiming to be "famous" models, yes? I may be wrong, I'm just guessing, but I'd place a pretty large bet on it that I'm right, lol!

Ahhh a thread that always shows up.

How about instead of posting, just bugger off instead of telling us you are going to?

Oh i know why, because you'll reply that you have an opinion and want to express it?

Again, Bye. If you don't enjoy it, don't post in a dedicated forum telling us things we don't care about

I can't imagine BB is rejecting people like that for reality TV stars though so presumably they don't want to do it. Let's face it CBB has always been about scraping the barrel. I just don't understand why people care who is in there as it has always been about how they get on rather than their celebrity credentials and like I said you are never going to get proper celebs.

I try not to, but complaining about a show that you aren't watching seems idiotic to me.

Your judging the series on the popularity?

Tiffany was one of the best ever. Was she famous?”

Tiffany was a reality star LEGEND though and actually really big in America. She even had her own show that lasted three seasons and was the biggest VH1 ratings hit in history.

This year they have scraped the barrel. Two X factor rejects (one that was literally on one episode!). Lewis who was a filler character on TOWIE. The BOOM guy like seriously?

If Aubrey wasn't in I would switch off already.

The BB viewers who wanted Real Celebs in there have always wanted them because they get to hear some of the stories they get to tell. What we need to remember is that worked in the old days with live feed. Nowadays we get a highlights show for an hour so there isn't time for that kind of stuff. As Channel 5 is all about confrontation they wouldn't show anything nicey nicey like that anyway. Real Celebs stopped accepting CBB when the live feed stopped & everything could be & was being heavily manipulated. There was probably stuff in the contract that meant they couldn't do anything about it too so word soon got around I'm guessing.

Congrats OP on being the first to create the most generic thread of the season. Please stick with your promise and stop posting so the rest of us can watch and enjoy. How many times has it been proven that the relative fame of the celebs means nothing in determining the quality of the series.

It always makes me laugh the number of people who actually take the time to comment on these kind of threads rather than just ignore them if they aren't happy with them
