I always thought Renee in the early days was like a badly trained Pitbull, but l thought as the series progressed she calmed down a lot when some younger cast members joined.

Yes after re-watching the series I came to really like her, she seemed to really sort herself out the last few seasons. She's not really scary at all, bark worse than her bite.

I'm always astonished that the Wives of mobsters are allowed to free range, when they should really be banged up for massive aiding and abetting. Maybe the mob bosses strike some kind of deal when they are put away.

She's not really a mobsters wife. They are minted and generally have low profiles as to not draw attention to themselves. By virtue of going into CBB she's gone against both of those.

Well I'd say being on an American reality show in a much bigger market than the UK (even if its a less popular show than CBB) probably popped the cherry on that even before CBB.

She seemed to go from all big and brash in her promo video to a bit of a shrinking violet and nervous as hell as she entered the house.

Don't really know why someone as irrelevant as her in the UK is recruited for this show though. The producers must be really desperate!

I wondered why they cast both her and Dog the Bounty Hunter's wife, because they had some similar traits.

That made me think that they perhaps intended the two of them to fight as some kind of "mafia vs the law" thing, assuming people could wrap their head around the idea that Mrs. Dog was actually somehow on the law's side (kind of foolish).

Because the show is about putting a bunch of people from different backgrounds together in one house, and messing with their heads. It's not a chat show, playing a game of who's the most famous. If you want to only watch people you know - go watch them on whatever show they've been on before.

Goodness gracious, accept that you don't know every person who might be worth knowing something about (not that I'm saying she is ... I know nothing about her), and just get to know them for who they are and how they act IN THE HOUSE.

As for acting nervous in the house, perhaps she's encountered nasty attitudes like that, on her way in the house. That'd make me nervous for what was to come, wouldn't it you?
