It's a sad state of affairs when you think 'Sam Fox. Now there's a proper celeb'

Even though she hasn't been properly famous since 1987 at least she's a recognisable face!

I feel like Great Aunt Maud watching this show tonight. Sitting on my rocking chair barking 'Who's that? Never heard of 'em'. I think I've recognised about four of them. I'm so out of touch with who's shagged who on which reality show.

Yes! I was borderline just effing the show off and because of Fox's crazy drunken performance on (was it Back to Reality?) I thought her and Biggins together might keep the lighthouse shining. Without them I care about nobody.

Anyone passing my house last night would've thought I'd got a pet owl. 'who? who, who?

At least her boobs are real, unlike two-backs Katie Price.

Yep, it has to be the worst line up for CBB ever. Not impressed!

The real 'poison' and I think the word is valid is the inclusion of so many nobodies from other reality programmes who really do seem to think they're something special and 'have earned' their place in a 'Celebrity' (sic) series.

I'm proud to admit that I had absolutely no idea who most of the Americans were or the 'big personalities'(allegedly) from the knuckle dragging MTV trash etc.

Doesn't she look good? Her face hasn't changed at all.

I didn't realise that her song went to no1 in 17 countries, see kids, if anyone tell you the eighties were a good decade for music just use that as a counter-argument?

For a fifty year old woman I think Sam looks great and it's nice to see someone who hasn't gone down the pointless surgery and facial injections route in a doomed quest to remain immotral (although IF Sam has done all that then I apologise for my ignorance because I don't read such stuff in the media)

Pmsl.... I agree with you.I did pretty much the same thing, tbh.

I only knew Biggins, Sam Fox, Ricky Norwood and James Whale. Couldn't give a flying fig about the others, lol

I'm two years older than here and have had a crush on her, for obvious reasons, since she first appeared on page 3. Glad she looks so good at 50 as she's been through a lot of heartache over the years. I don't know if shes a deserving winner, but at lest I know who she is. Again, perhaps it is an age thing - I only really know her, Biggins and Whale.

I think she looks great for her age and seems natural from what I can see. I hope she's a good HM.

Its not so much that you're "out of touch" but you are not the target demographic BB (channel 5) are producing this show for. This CBB is blatantly for those people who read gossip/celeb mags, watch This morning/Loose Woman/ITV Be channel and are under the age of 35.....

loool, but it's cool to watch based on the concept of the show even if the housemates are not for some of us. If they had a CBB full of Youtube/Social media "stars" then i would be turned off by it......but will still watch.

It don't mind not knowing a "celebrity" as long as they are a good HM. I had never heard of Frenchie but I loved watching her nutty behaviour.

She seems natural to me and is going in there to be herself. I have a sneaking admiration for her, something I thought I would never say back in the 80s at the height of her fame. We are the same age and back then I saw her as an enemy of modern woman. Now I think she will be an interesting HM.

It is probably because we are the same age that I do not recognise most of the rest - products of Youtube, Geordie Shore, TOWIE, XFactor, Ex on the beach -Zzzzzzz

Am I in the right thread for a subscription to 'Oldie' magazine?

Yeah, just leave your direct debit details and we'll sign you up.

To continue the 'aren't we old' theme today is the 35th anniversary of Prince Charles and Lady Diana's doomed wedding, where have the years gone?

I'm rooting for Sam, I hope she does well. She's been through a lot recently and it'll be good to see her come out on top for once.
