Worst line up ever?
Terry N

People have always said 'worst line up ever' as an aside every year, but is this really the worst celeb line up in BB history?

I think it's only fair to give it a chance. It might end up to being one of the best CBB ever!!
There's a good mix of Characters old and young. Though it's the young attention seekers that piss me off.

I've said exactly that in another thread.

However, on the plus side, I can watch it and not care less what happens, as I either don't know or like any of them.

I do not know who most of them are? I am happy Chloe Mafia is there and Sam Fox. Biggins has been on CGMOH. Same od same old. I feel the whole backroom team needs to go. It is the mantra from people connected to the show who are on the pay packet and keep stressing this will be the best ever and it never is.
who, me?

Hmm, I think it's a pretty good line up so far. Okay, they aren't really 'celebrities', mostly, but there are certainly some characters there. I think James Whale will bring wit, Renee will bring chutzpah, Biggins some fun. They are all different enough that I'm interested - it's rare for me to be able to differentiate the ones I don't know at this stage, but I can actually remember their names (mostly!).

They used to get proper Hollywood people, now it's just Hollyoaks.

I dunno, for me I think it actually is - there are too many in there I find it hard to even listen to.

It's not because they're not famous enough - I've always preferred civilian to celebs - it's because some are pretty awful.

That's so bad of me. But I can't listen to Bear or Lewis or Colin to name but a few. And I cannot get my head around this mob wives stuff.

Will give it a go but not sure it's for me.

I would be impressed with Hollyoaks. Gone on off the rails and sacked from Hollyoaks doesn't count.

It's gonna be hard to keep up with this one. Motivation needed!

The 'celebrity' factor is so low that it's effectively just an ordinary Big Brother.

i think it is a great line up.
yes, half of them are "unknown" outside their "niche" but they are diverse and they only have to fill 40 minutes of actual footage for the highlights show...

they will be great. this will be a great series...

if however you expected stars you could listen to their life stories then buy a book or go to the library for their autobiography - big brother is not a chat show

Yes, there is that. And, if they're such nonentities with huge dollops of narcissism, they will be quite desperate to be the centre of attention which means they'll do just about anything for air time. Could be a good laugh.

Yeah, it is. That's why, even though I don't usually watch the celeb version, I thought I'd give this a go this year.

I mean, we had Lateysha, Alex and Marco in the other who are as household as most of the celebs so there really isn't much between them.

These ones aren't famous enough or have an image to protect that would inhibit behaviour which is what puts me off celeb versions of anything. It is effectively normal bb.

You writing it off already OP? I'm keeping an open mind over what goes on and that.

This is one of the years where I wasn't particularly excited to see any of them go in

What is it with BB classing prostitutes as Celebrities? There's been two of them now.

I'd never seen or heard about any of those either. Not celebs in my book! Not even Z listers.
At one time 'celebs' were people who were genuinely famous for being successful in movies, tv, music, sports or whatever. Now they non entities known only by those who follow low end celeb gossip rags and obscure tv shows.

It doesn't really bother me that I haven't heard of the majority of them, it still looks like a good mix of characters excluding the God awful Bear & I have to say, Biggins, from what I know of him, is going to irritate me but he could irritate me in an entertaining way.
Being entertained is all I care about.

Yep, but the show is so trashy now. It's all twists, trash and drama - it could actually destroy a person's career so I don't think an actual celeb still relevant would touch it with a barge pole.

The only ones it attracts are those desperately trying to get famous or those who desperately need the fee. That creates a vicious circle of it being a cesspit house so no one worth their salt will go near it. There are exceptions of course but it's generally a mix of wannabes and has-beens.

I don't mind that. I just find so many in there unwatchable. Famous or not.

But no self respecting star will ever go in anymore. It's only those who are desperate for fame (younger lot) or money (has beens)

In complete agreement with this.
I fail to understand how anyone can judge the series based on one episode. The housemates may appear uninspiring but who knows what's going to happen. I have a feeling it's not gonna be a 'quiet' one

Tbh, I don't actually care if they are desperate wannabe's either. A few years ago thought Danika was a great, very watchable hm, so that's all i really care about.

Btw. Anyone know what happened to her?
