Each series/year that goes by, makes the previous one look like gold

Normal BB this year, probably the worst one ever. But I remember people saying the same about BB16, but that series was brilliant compared to this one, with housemates like Nick, Marc, Joel, Jack, Cristian etc. Most of whom were unheard of and never been on a reality tv show before.

I remember thinking it myself last year that BB16 wasn't great, but when you compare it to this year, it was superb.

Bring back "regular" housemates!

if argos started selling what was in their catalogue in 2002 you would say "oh great, oh, hold on this is all rubbish now"

tv has moved on... and most people will turn it off for something that is on itv2 that has bits of what was with bits of what is new added.

by the way, if each years makes the previous look like gold.. then that means time makes things look better... and rose tinted glasses of the "good old days" are a well known mindtrick that hides the fact the past was not as good as you remember...

BB5 - mass fights and bad arguments...
BB6 - rumours of agency supplied housemates...

how far back was "the good old days?" they sound like the same

This year was fabulous. Best in years. I loved it and moreover, my favourite, Jason WON

Not sure what you mean by "regular housemates"?

it's not the housemates, more the outside interference, the playing back housemates bitching and the twists, my god, the bloody twists if BB were a book they'd have had ten twists in the first chapter and you'd throw the bastard book in the bin

The civilian bb has had its day for me, whereas the celebrity version can go on forever as far as I'm concerned.

I gave up on this year's civilian BB before the halfway mark.

This CBB lot lack obvious charisma but I'll give them a week to pull me in.
