Hated was a strong word for Jase but like Maria he regularly copped the dreary & boring tag when I first joined & towards the end there seemed a load of dislike for him!!
He was always one if my favourites & not even for his 'juiciness' in my case, though even as a straight man I could see why you guys & gals would fancy him!!

I would add Faye & Simon to my list too, not because they are especially likeable characters but because both have played their parts well imo!!

I'm a Marlon fan too, he is a nice person and he makes me laugh, I'd have him over the awful Paddy anytime. Marlon is one of my favourite Dingles.
