Is it me or is this one of the most disappointing pop collaborations ever? People assumed that a Madonna and Britney collaboration would result in a modern pop classic, but it failed to live up to the hype and expectation that a lot of critics and fans had.

Was this the reason why In the Zone didn't make the Top 10 in the UK? Maybe the album would have charted higher if Toxic had been the lead single.

I actually like it, but I can see how it's not everyone's cup of tea. I don't think it was the reason ITZ didn't make the Top 10 in the UK though. I'd say that was down to Britney losing popularity amongst the public and Beyonce's solo career taking off, plus the rise in boys with guitars bands and R&B and reality TV acts.

Beyoncé popularly had nothing to do with it. Britney still had 2 number 1s from the album.

Oh ok. Well I was only guessing. Could it have been because some people didn't like the album or that it was more 'adult' this younger fans might not have bought it?

I don't think the Britney rapping and the urban feel of it suits Britney that much. It didn't have that classic pop/dance Britney vibe that she is known for. I personally don't find Toxic all that great either but it was a huge hit.

It's not my favourite Britney song, although I like it a lot more now than I did in 2003.

I'm not a huge fan, but I love Britney's dancing in the video. I love her outfit too.

I think the majority of it was already done by the time Britney asked Madonna to sing on it. If Madonna had more time to unleash her creativity, i'm sure it would've been much better.

If there was ever a duet that should've happened, it was MJ and Madonna. That would have been amazing.

I actually quote like the song too...its been a grower ....

they say 'in the closet; was written for Madonna to join MJ on his record but she wanted to make it more controversial and MJ thought it was too much ...she was still in 'erotic era' and he was just beginning to encounter allegations... such a shame .... a near miss opportunity ...

I adore In The Closet. I genuinely can't think how it would sound with Madonna featuring. I shudder at the thought. Hey Britney, you say you wanna lose control. Come over here I got something to show you.

I think it's a good collaboration personally. I liked Britney rapping, I loved the video and the dancing round the bed frame bit, and Britney's dancing was probably at its best ever in that video!

Nope. It's one of my favorite duets in pop. The video just elevates the song.

Hey Britney, come over here I've got something to show ya
