I'm looking for general advice on connecting a laptop to a Denon PMA-720AE to play music etc?

I'm using:

Denon PMA-720AE
Rega RP1 (Via phono outputs)
Wharfedale Diamond 9.1
Logic TV connected via AUX outputs
Tannoy Sfx Sub (Via Pre-out connections)

I'm not sure on where to start regarding any kit I need to get a wireless connection either through bluetooth or Wifi?

If you tell us the make and model of the laptop that will help as it is pretty much impossible to give specific advice with vital information such as this missing. No point recommending something like a Bluetooth audio adapter to plug into the amp if your laptop doesn't have Bluetooth or if it does it can't send audio over Bluetooth.

If your laptop can send audio over Bluetooth then something such as this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Bl.../dp/B00IJYG4FY

could be plugged into the amp to receive the audio. If the laptop can't do audio over Bluetooth then you'll need an additional adapter for it. For example

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-Blueto...dp/B00CM83SC0/

Mind you a far better option is a 3.5mm jack to two phono plug lead. Cheaper and the sound quality could be better than Bluetooth,

The specs for that model indicate it has Bluetooth built in which is a good start. However, the manual for the A50 series has loads to say about the regulations for wireless devices in just about every country you have ever heard of (and a few you might not have ) but sod all about what functions it supports. No indication at all if it supports audio over Bluetooth. And so far not found anything useful googling it.

So you might have to dive into the Bluetooth settings on the laptop to see what exactly it supports.

Bluetooth will only get audio from your PC.

If you want video thats another story. An HDMI cable is the easiest solution.

The PMA-720 is a Hi-Fi stereo audio amplifier so video won't be an issue.
