When I rip any CD to MP3's the job is usually pretty easy because I can simply call up the "freeDB" from CDex and it usually recognises the disc and fills out all the track information, useful for the majority of CD's that don't seem to bother with CD Text at all, occasionally I have a CD that is rare enough that I become the one to add it to the "freeDB" myself when I'm ripping it (usually unsigned/local music). But with DVD and/or Blu-Ray ripping the process is more laborious as there is no equivalent to the CDDB or FreeDB, is there any software or anything I could use to save me from typing out all titles manually, one I have now "Now Comedy" (nice find in a charity shop!) will take forever because it has 37 different short titles on it.

I used to use ImToo DVD Ripper but have mainly moved on to Handbrake now, except for when I rip DVDs straight to an MP3 file which ImToo is good for, eg stand up comedy in the car! Something to suggest to the Handbrake developers perhaps is the introduction of a DVDdb, similar to what is linked up with CDex for CD's. Certainly would help with building the Plex server.

I'm guessing the answer is possibly no, but if there's a CDDB, surely there should also be a DVDdb and/or Blu-Raydb too?
