Humax HB-1000S - It's great with a external hard drive, I've Being using it for a year now.
I wouldn't recommend getting a box with a hard drive built in as hard drives have a short life time. |

The drives are warranted for 3 yrs. |

I recently bought a Humax 1100S HDR Freesat recording box and really like it (cancelled Sky + HD).
It's pretty slow to boot up but other than that it does a good job. I coupled it with a Now TV box for catch-up and streaming services so now have all the TV I want at a fraction of what I was paying previously. Edit - Re. HDD life the Sky 1TB box I've just taken out of service was over 6 years old and the hard drive was problem free. Last edited by JulesandSand : 06-08-2016 at 14:37. Reason: Added info |

Now I get all the TV, Movies and Box Sets that I want and I am saving OVER £60 a month as well. Win, Win situation.
