I bought the Samsung galaxy s7 from the carphone warehouse on EE..
Got a text telling me to activate wifi calling, I switched it on, got a text saying I will be notified when it has been set up.
After 24hrs, been over 24hrs not got the wifi calling icon yet.
On the EE site and carphone warehouse site it does state that wifi calling is available on the s7..
Anyone know what the problem is?

When I got my EE SIM only contract I inserted the SIM card in my iPhone and just switched WiFi Calling on from the settings. After a couple of minutes, EE texted that WiFi Calling is now activated. I restarted the phone and WiFi Calling was there

Phones other than iPhones need to have network firmware on them to have wifi calling. Phones bought at CPW are unlocked versions, which while this is mostly a good thing, it means you can't get wifi calling.

You need to buy direct from EE to get wifi calling on the S7.

EE don't seem to agree with you...

WiFi Calling is available on all versions of the iPhone 5c and later models of the iPhone, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Lumia 550, 650, 950, 950XL and HTC 10.

It's only available on the EE version of all other Android and Windows devices, which can only be bought directly from us in one of our stores, online, or through our telesales team. At present other Android and Windows devices bought from other retailers will not be able to support WiFi Calling.

Phil, have you considered ringing 150 and asking them?

Are you on the latest software version? Maybe post your version number and someone can confirm?

Have you checked on someone else's broadband just in case your router is blocking it?
