Pretty sure today was the busiest day of live football since the hub was created and there's seven green ticks for seven games, so thanks for the input everybody.

However, today's match on BBC ALBA (like all the others this season) hasn't had a reporter assigned to it but I noticed there is somebody asking players and managers questions in the tunnel, so who conducts these interviews does anyone know?

Manchester United v Burnley - Sky Sports 5 Ireland - Bill Leslie & Gary Neville
Further to the discussion about replays recently (when a replay was shown of a disallowed goal missed by Sky's commentary team), I've been told by a couple of friends that the Ander Herrera second yellow was missed because they were showing replays of not one but two earlier missed chances. When it cut back to the action the referee was just brandishing the red and the two commentators spent ages talking about a tackle that none of their viewers had yet seen.

What will it take for this obsession with replays to stop.

If Gary is only on Sky 40 times a season then using him for a 3pm ROI kick off seems like a bit of a waste

Makes sense I guess. His headphones suggest a multi-purpose role!

I wasn't quite sure because whilst the interviews are in English, the rest of the time he is speaking Gaelic and I couldn't recognise whether it was the same person talking or not. Also, they cut directly from him doing a piece to camera to interviews in the tunnel - but now it is apparent that they must be recorded in advance.

So BT Sport are showing a 1hr FA Cup First Round highlights show on Saturday of... Westfields V Curzon Ashton. How much lower can they get?

Manish Bashin is presenting the FA Cup MOTD highlights on Sunday next week.

Yes, it did seem a bit of an obscure one given Neville's cut his Sky commitments down a bit. Guess we'll have to see what his figures are come the end of the season - it might count as a bonus.

It did get me thinking when the last time was Neville commentated with anyone other than Tyler before yesterday. I think it might have been Palace V Watford in September 2015 which he did with Parry. Don't think he's done one with Hawthorne since Villa V Man United on the second week of last season.

Goal Rush

Same presentation line up of George, Chris and Michael.

Reporters - Sue Thearle, Jack Woodward, Nick Halling, Matt Williams, Andy Hodgson, John Anderson
A Tic-Tac moment for Channel 5 during this last night, we had two ad breaks with no adverts in them, just blank screens and VT clocks, before an advert accidentally turned up during Plymouth vs Colchester, meaning we missed two of the goals (though happily we did get to see the referee being knocked out, which is all I wanted to see). Seemingly the production team were unaware of this as we had no apology, and they didn't show the missing goals again.

Great how we had no adverts in the ad breaks, but an advert during the programme. Actually this is the third time in a month the ad breaks in this programme have gone awry and featured no adverts, and given it's the only programme I watch on Channel 5, I don't know what the rest of the channel is like.

QPR vs Brentford - Introduced by Scott Minto with Peter Beagrie and Tommy Smith, commentary by Daniel Mann and Andy Hinchcliffe
Sunderland vs Arsenal - Introduced by Simon Thomas with Thierry Henry and Niall Quinn, commentary by Alan Parry and Alan Smith
Barrow vs Eastleigh - Introduced by Matt Smith with Kevin Davies and Chris Hargreaves, commentary by Adam Summerton and Adam Virgo
Palace vs Liverpool - Introduced by Jake Humphrey with Steve McManaman and Ian Wright, commentary by Darren Fletcher, Owen Hargreaves and Glenn Hoddle
Blackburn vs Wolves - Introduced by Kelly Cates with Don Goodman and Ian Holloway, commentary by Gary Weaver and David Prutton
Birmingham vs Villa - Introduced by Scott Minto with Peter Beagrie and Kevin Phillips, commentary by Daniel Mann and David Prutton
Super Sunday - Introduced by Dave Jones with Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Souness, Everton vs West Ham commentary by Rob Hawthorne and Andy Hinchcliffe, Southampton vs Chelsea commentary by Martin Tyler and Gary Neville

A rare punditry only appearance for Don Goodman this weekend, and given he's Mr Midlands I'm a bit surprised he wasn't doing Birmingham vs Villa rather than Prutton, who seemed a bit of a strange choice for a high profile game. Never mind, at least we got to see the clock go past 100. A big weekend for masses of injury time, actually, there was nine minutes added on to the first half of the Conference game, leading to a very brief post-match sequence.

In other news it's worth watching this week's Premier League Show on iPlayer, the most interesting one they've done so far I think, because it's from New York and includes a look behind the scenes at NBC's Premier League coverage, including, yes, an interview with The Lovely Rebecca Lowe. Delighted to see her again, though it made me a bit sad because I wish she was still on British telly. I miss her so much.
