Solid job by Mann yesterday on the Birmingham Derby, captured the game brilliantly I thought.

Can someone let me know what match of the day was on Saturday please?

I would of thought they went with Man City but wouldn't be surprised if still went with Man Utd 0-0 just for ratings?

Thanks,

It's like an ITV reunion on 5Live this week with Ally McCoist at City and Andy Townsend at Wembley

Darren Fletcher confirming he is covering

Man City v Barcelona, Fenerbahce v Man Utd and Arsenal v Spurs this week, no surprise what so ever or maybe a little surprise he isn't doing Chelsea Everton on Saturday evening.

It is Henry with Carragher.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Celtic and Sparta Prague vs Hapoel Beer Sheeva will be shown free to air on BT Sport Showcase this week. It will be the second appearance in the Europa League group stage for Hapoel on BT Sport Showcase. Great News for all the British Hapoel Beer Sheeva fans!

According to the data hub:
LIVE Premier League - Monday Night Football (Sky Sports 1 / Sky Q Ultra HD)
Stoke City v Swansea City

David Jones presenting from Sky Studios, joined by Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry, with Greg Whelan reporting at the bet365 Stadium.

Commentators - Bill Leslie and Davie Provan

Can someone please confirm if these details are correct, or if not, then correct them

I think there is a lot to be said for Henry and Carragher doing every MNF, with Neville making occasional appearances. The show just works better without "special guests" getting in the way of the actual analysis.

It was Patrick Davison as opposed to Greg Whelan.

I think we have a rogue merchant who likes to add Greg Whelan at every opportunity. This is not the first time this has happened!

Greg's agent must be really eager

I obviously can't watch MNF but I'm generally against people currently involved in football don't make for great guests, you end up with two options:

1. They say nothing/little of interest
2. They go out of their way to be controversial (e.g. Joey Barton)

And it doesn't work especially in this media trained era. If you can find interesting people not in football right now then great but that's not easy. Out of work managers and ex-players wanting to stay in football again could be safe. So, you need managers with no intention of going back and then ex-players without too much interest in coaching anytime soon. Then they need to be good in front of a camera and gel with Jamie.

So overall, don't bother with guests and use Sky's decent array of analysts in Thierry, Souness & GNev (Even Quinn at a push).

Saturday 29th October - Channel 5

Football on 5

George Riley presented alongside Chris Iwelumo and Michael Gray

Brighton & Hove Albion v Norwich City - Paul Walker
Blackburn Rovers v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Gary Weaver and David Prutton, with Jonathan Oakes conducting interviews (as Sky Sports)
Queens Park Rangers v Brentford (Friday) - Daniel Mann and Andy Hinchcliffe, with David Craig conducting interviews (as Sky Sports)

Championship round-ups - Sue Thearle, Jack Woodward, Nick Halling, Matt Williams and Andy Hodgson
League One and Two round-ups - Sue Thearle, John Anderson, Nick Halling, Jack Woodward, Andy Hodgson and Matt Williams

Bit after the Lord Mayor's Show now, but I must say I enjoyed Daniel Mann and David Prutton's commentary on Birmingham City v Aston Villa on Sunday. As a relative newcomer to broadcasting, I think Prutton is coming along nicely as a co-commentator.

A disgrace this isn't on a main channel.

There's no room for it... You have the Goals Show on BT Sport 1 and three others channels used for British teams, plus Celtic on Showcase.
