Just catching up on things over Christmas; you were all correct that Hinchcliffe wasn't originally supposed to be doing the Hull v Man City match. He stepped in late for Gary Neville. AH was due to be at Leicester but Garry Birtles covered that instead. He's certainly putting in the hours, with more to come!

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm guessing AH was the nearest/most senior co-com they had to Hull.

I do remember that Kevin Keatings lives in the North East so I would had thought he would had done Newcastle's Boxing day match and Daniel Mann comm on Birmingham

Where has George Gavin gone to?

George Gavin has retired. Or more likely not had a contract renewal. He was semi-retired anyway.

Flicking through yesterday's football. In a shock horror moment that I picked up on a couple of weeks ago, after the Derby penalty Gary Weaver says "ice in those vains!"

Still no Dwight

I must say, these short build ups & one man studios are a bit shoddy from Sky

What's with just the one pundit? Was the same yesterday if I'm not mistaken. Poor from Sky although I'm pleased Thomas is presenting. Best one out of all of them now Ed's gone.

It's always like this over Christmas. Normally just whoever's local.

Cheers for the info! I wasn't sure whether it was GN or Davie Provan who AH was a late replacement for (as I noticed that DP didn't do any games neither).

And, all the games done, still sounds refreshing, and very good, does Andy Hinchcliffe.

There's 3 or 4 names on those lists I've never heard of!

Who's JP Dellacamera, Andres Cantor or Phil Schoen?

Good to see Jon Champion right up there on both lists. No.1 for me.

I'm enjoying Hawthorne's commentary tonight.

Why didn't either Rob Hawthorne or Andy Hinchcliffe mention the possibility of a red card when it was a foul that denied a goal-scoring opportunity? Maybe both were confused because a shot was taken after the foul was committed!
