Very interesting to see the commentary teams as we discussing so far as there is seven live Sky PL games within six days plus two Championship matches and a League 2 match within seven days.

Daniel Mann again taken off duty for 2nd Jan. He was due to do the live PL Middlesbrough v Leicester game. I must admit I do not know exactly why he's been missing.
It does however mean a very familiar voice will be doing his first live Sky PL commentary of the season in Mann's absence. Peter Dickson? Cheryl Baker? Sally Gunnell? The possibilities are endless! |

A picture from Jamie Carragher shows Jamie Redknapp & Thierry Henry in the FNF studio. They are going all out for what quite frankly is a ridiculous pick!

Sky haven't told us the commentators at the start of the program tonight like they normally do on FNF. Neville is co-commentator tonight per his tweet but we are still guessing the other.
![]() It's just an hour build-up tonight as well so I bet it's more serious.

FNF is 45 mins shorter than normal tonight.
7pm to 10.30pm - whereas previous episodes have been 6.30pm to 10.45pm. Maybe shorter just because of holiday season, maybe a permanent change - we'll have to wait for next one to see. |

They still have Carling Off The Bar program after that though so if you include that it's 15 minutes shorter.
So main programme is 45 mins shorter. |

'Christmas On Sky Sports' Christmas has finished though... More like new year.
Jamie Redknapp showing his true punditry skills by getting the majority of quiz questions wrong and still winning it.

Sorry. It's only Ian Crocker.
Only one I can remember was the 'emergency snow' pick which someone posted a link about a while ago. Quote:

The first edition in particular was ridiculously overdone - 90 minutes of build-up, 2 presenters, 4 pundits, the commentary team, Shreeves and Chris Kamara. For a pretty bog standard MU home game. |

Critique of FNF has been done to death I know, but what is the point of Rachel Riley?
She does my head in with her quipping in with something that Jeff was more than able to say. Sky manage with one presenter on all other football broadcasts so why does FNF need to be different? I'm all for innovation but jeez it winds me up! |

Jeff Stelling looked visibly pissed off at one point during the opening of the show when he and Rachel were standing up.
It was probably in light of the fact that it was shoddily done. Neither one of them seemed to know when it was their turn to speak, and then the music started before Rachel had finished delivering the last line. I'm really not sure this dual presenter thing works at all... |

PS: Where's Kammy this evening? I suppose with program duration cut he's not needed just to do a couple interviews with VIP's. |

Do hope Daniel Mann is doing OK - whatever the reason for his absence is - and look forward to his return to commentary.

I suppose they hired her to fit with the light-hearted format. You only see her face for 10 games anyway.

If Sky had added Dwight Yorke to the panel one could've argued, with Jamie Rednapp already there, that Sky had got their t*ts out
