What a goal call by Tyler! Neville great too. Stunning goal and fantastic commentary with it.

Tyler and Neville followed it up by talking about a certain Andy Gray

This one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_G...ler,_born_1964) not the former Sky commentator

I think MT and GN meant the midfielder who spent some time at Crystal Palace during the late 80's and early 90's, as opposed to the former Sky Sports co-commentator. There has been a number of Andy Gray's throughout the years, so easy to be confused!

However, I agree, brilliant goal, and a super commentary to go with it from Tyler and Neville.

Happy new year Diff. Great work as usual. I hope everybody else has a great 2017 too.
Thanks. Kind of you to say that.

Poor old Darren Eadie, forever condemned to pundit only on matches involving Norwich and nobody else. Must be a bit of an odd position to be club-specific pundit, not quite good or famous enough to be allowed to pundit on matches not involving your former club.
I know it's not the same as appearing on TV, but Darren Eadie's co-commentated on quite a few matches involving clubs other than Norwich for talkSPORT's international Premier League radio commentary service. Although he hasn't worked for them since the Canaries went down. He's a regular pundit and co-commentator on BBC Radio Norfolk's Norwich broadcasts, so he gets steady work covering the club he's most famous for playing for. On a different note, belated thanks for answering my question about Simon Thomas' status at Sky Sports the other day.

I know these are all on this page, but there's plenty of repeats at Christmas. Here's the last round of fixtures before we start the next one...

Villa vs Leeds - Introduced by Kelly Cates with Don Goodman, commentary by Gary Weaver and Andy Hinchcliffe
Hull vs Everton - Introduced by Jeff Stelling and Rachel Riley with Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and Jamie Redknapp, commentary by Rob Hawthorne and Gary Neville
Liverpool vs Man City - Introduced by Jake Humphrey with Richard Dunne, Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen, commentary by Darren Fletcher, Steve McManaman and Glenn Hoddle
Brentford vs Norwich - Introduced by Kelly Cates with Darren Eadie and David Prutton, commentary by Gary Weaver and Garry Birtles
Super Sunday - Introduced by Dave Jones with Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness, Watford vs Spurs commentary by Rob Hawthorne and Alan Smith, Arsenal vs Palace commentary by Martin Tyler and Gary Neville
Maidstone vs Dover - Introduced by Matt Smith with Chris Hargreaves and Peter Taylor, commentary by Adam Summerton and Adam Virgo

Busy period for Rob Hawthorne, three matches in five days and presumably at least one more in the next few days. At least Andy Hinchcliffe has had a few days off.

From memory I think I saw a sky advert saying that had shown the most watched 27 matches this season.

Normally sky show 49 out top 50.

Realistically I think only five BT matches could break into top 50

Liverpool v man city 2nd favourite, Liverpool v Chelsea favourite, bt one remaining big pick on sat, manu v everton, man city v Chelsea (last three unlikely)

Any ideas as to xmas ratings and whether Liverpool game rated well?

Also bbc match on Fri has limited build up, will be interesting to see how well it does

Matt Upson and Lawro were the pundits on MOTD2 last night. First time I can remember Upson appearing on MOTD2 and thought he was actually surprisingly good.
Seemed pretty comfortable, confident delivery and made a few nice tactical points. Wouldn't mind having him make a few more appearances.

Lawro was just well Lawro. Once you've seen one appearance you've seen them all.

Some great goal calls on that Giroud finish.
