I was wrong, it's Don Hutchinson.

Such a shame BT's finest is reduced to scraps. I just don't get the big appeal on Fletcher at all. It's like choosing a a scabby burger when you have a fillet steak going to waste in the fridge.

Anybody knows who's commentating West Ham - Astra for Eurosport?

Yes! Here are the ratings for last week from Broadcast...

Friday Night Football - 758,900
Super Sunday (West Ham vs Bournemouth) - 673,300
Monday Night Football - 601,300
Leicester vs Arsenal (BT) - 591,200
Stoke vs Man City - 455,700
Ipswich vs Norwich - 223,500
Steaua Bucharest vs Man City - 216,400

Don't have a rating for the other match in Super Sunday or the other Championship match, as they only list the highest rated "episode" of each programme. Which is a bit meaningless when BT get all their programmes in the chart by just naming them after the fixture.

(Opens Tab to find out)

It's Wayne Boyce

(Closes Tab)

This is on the majority of the Eurosport1 channels in continental europe. Might also be on Eurosport in Singapore through dplay.sg - before you all start switching.

There is a new thread that is summarising viewing figures...

I do wish ITV would see sense and do a job switch for Dixon and Hoddle.

Thanks Steve, not great figures anywhere no doubt because of the Olympics but they should be quite pleased about Friday night although one could argue it was featuring Man Utd.

Pretty poor Saturday evening figure for BT one must say.

Not heard him to often but i thought Don Hutchison was pretty good last night.

He was really good. Very natural and offered good analysis, hopefully he gets used again. Darke was excellent as ever. Hopefully BT give him the man utd games in the europa league. But they'll probably give them to their superstar commentator, Fletcher, seen as they've decided to give him all their big games.

Im afraid that will seem to be the case, i think he will be heard regulary on Champions League and Europa League but the bigger and more decisive games will no doubt be given to Fletcher.

Good example of this was last season Semi in the Champions league where Fletcher got both second legs eventhough it meant him traveling in 24hours to do both games when Darke was easily avalable to do one, even the one he called in the first leg.

Sky's very own Thierry Henry is joining Belgium's coaching staff, don't suppose we will be lucky and see less of him now?

To be fair with the CLlast season that wasn't just with Fletch - some of the pundits were appearing even more than him.

And let's be clear on ITV and Sky it's defonetely Tyler and Tydesley getting the vast, vast majority of the big games. If a commentator is a Number 1 it makes sense for them to get more of the big games.
The other debate is who should be BT's number 1 which is more the point being mads.

While I didn't see the game last night, I've always thought similar when I've heard Hutchinson. He does bits of BT's European coverage and PLP coverage but does slip under the radar.

I'd happily hear him on more high profile games.

Some details for BT's coverage tomorrow with Alex Bruce joining Jake Humphrey and Rio Ferdinand pitch-side and in the studio. Darren Fletcher once again commentating with Glenn Hoddle but the third commentator hasn't been tagged in (so we can assume they're not on Twitter). Probably Steve McManaman or perhaps Owen Hargreaves.

Struggle to see how BT are going to squeeze Paul Scholes into their coverage this year, which is a shame. Ferdinand will probably always be United's pundit and in these 2 men setups, there will generally have to be a representative for the other team. Maybe Europa League matches.

We didn't see any less of Neville when he was only on the England coaching staff, so I doubt it.

It'll probably just mean he won't be around for the WC qualifiers.

Although there hasn't been any England squad members playing outside of England for a little while. Whilst most of the Belgium squad play in England, there are some who play elsewhere and he may need to follow some of them on occasions.

Surprising to see Brotherton on this, especially considering he is going back to Rio in just a couple of weeks for the Paralympics.

Have they announced PLT - so far seems that the 'main co-commentator' on that then appears for PLT?

Hard to assume at this early stage of the season who'll regularly be co-commentating alongside Fletcher and Hoddle on PL games.

I'm sure Scholes will appear at points - he'd be a fairly big name to dump and there's been nothing on him leaving. Plus he'll be needed I imagine on CL nights - they might well use 3 pundits on each of the 2 main games meaning he'll appear. Especially given the likes of Hargreaves and Mcmanaman will surely be on commentary a lot.
