Probably Steve McManaman or perhaps Owen Hargreaves.

Struggle to see how BT are going to squeeze Paul Scholes into their coverage this year, whi ch is a shame. Ferdinand will probably always be United's pundit and in these 2 men setups, there will generally have to be a representative for the other team. Maybe Europa League matches.”

This might be promising but my EPG says that Scholes will be on PL Tonight so I would have thought he would appear as a pundit on the main program as well.

My EPG is also saying that the BT Sport Score pundits this week are Robbie Savage, Jermaine Jenas, Paul Ince, David James, Harry Kewell and Chris Sutton.

Hard to assume at this early stage of the season who'll regularly be co-commentating alongside Fletcher and Hoddle on PL games.

I'm sure Scholes will appear at points - he'd be a fairly big name to dump and there's been nothing on him leaving. Plus he'll be needed I imagine on CL nights - they might well use 3 pundits on each of the 2 main games meaning he'll appear. Especially given the likes of Hargreaves and Mcmanaman will surely be on commentary a lot.”

Probably.
Just wondering actually, given that Sky are trying to integrate Jamie Carragher onto commentary, would it be surprising it BT tried to do the same to Rio Ferdinand. Obviously however they wouldn't want to tarnish the reputation of their best pundit, ala Michael Owen, who will always struggle to turn the negative opinions of the public having been rushed into co-commentary.

I hate the fact broadcasters have to have a second betting advert before the second half now, at this rate in the future we will be having live in-match betting updates.

You just have to wonder who pays for this rubbish...

From earlier:

Spanish La Liga - Real Betis v Deportivo La Coruna:

Sky Sports 5 - Rob Palmer and Garry Birtles

Now:

Spanish La Liga - Espanyol v Malaga:

Sky Sports 2 Red Button/World Feed - Lucas Brown

I didn't hear who did the French Ligue 1 game, Marseille v Lorient on BT Sport ESPN, nor the Scottish Premiership match, Kilmarnock v Rangers on BT Sport 1.

See? Ian Darke on a Premier League game after all. Not on BT, but the point remains.

Watford-Arsenal is the SS5 game in Ireland so I think there's a world feed for those SS5 matches, which Proudfoot and Holland did the last two weeks.

White and Dixon on the world feed is a first isn't it?

My feeling is that list is probably based off the NBC press release and that White and Dixon is not World Feed. I would think the Arlo White matches will probably have either Jon Champion or Peter Drury for the world feed.

Seems like we will see more of Trevor Francis this year then.

Where does it say they will be World Feed commentators? Presumably in some parts of the world that information is entirely accurate. Might as well complain because Proudfoot and Kilbane won't be doing the Spurs game for Sky.

Jamie Redknapp currently speaking to Simon Thomas from the gantry at WHL - not sure if he's on co-commentary or if he'll have a role similar to Carragher on Arsenal v Liverpool a few weeks ago. I'd expect the latter.

Souness and Carragher in the studio. Geoff Shreeves reporting.

Alan Smith is there, so it'll be a "Third Man"* type role.

* This is a reference to Sky's cricket set up.

It is accurate on the whole - NBC use their own comms for a game or two every weekend. You have bulk of the world feed comms there.

It's probably setup like this so Souness doesn't have to put up with Redknapp

Danny Murphy is co-commentator for Spurs-Liverpool on Sportsnet Pacific. Not sure who the commentator is though.
