Before anyone starts bickering, the various BT commentary details I posted (as mentioned in the original post) were from Darren Fletcher's Twitter.

Happy for people to take whatever they want from those tweets but just thought I'd mention.
I agree, that is where I saw it. But at same time since I posted I have also seen that mentioned picture.

A few details about BT's CL/EL coverage this year:

It appears that Champions League Tonight has been given the chop by BT which is a shame considering it served as a well done preview show of the evening CL fixtures, it means now that coverage will now start at the earliest of 7pm and will only fully focus on 1 game, The highlights show does return however at 10pm until 11:15pm.

Gary Lineker will present the games on BT Sport 2 which are presumably the main games of the evening. For PSG V Arsenal, Gary is joined by Rio Ferdinand and Ian Wright while Gary Is joined by Ferdinand and Steve McManaman the following night for Brugge V Leicester. I presume this week that Jake will present Man City V Monchengladbach and Spurs V Monaco will Curie doing Barcelona V Celtic. I don't know if the main game will just be from the studio or whether some of them will be on site, all of this information is coming from my EPG so it may not be correct.

For the EL games, again the Europa League Tonight branding on the EPG have gone, I don't know who will be presenting either of the British team games but if it's going by last season then I think Hipgrave will be on Southampton and Matt Smith on Man United. Don't forget that Jake didn't do any EL presenting until the later stages of the season.

Finally I would like to give a warm welcome to DS and the Football Commentators Thread to Daniel_Ormsby, hope you have fun.

Sky really are giving this a big-match feel, fantastic intro and dramatic music all the way round.

David Jones joined by Jamie Redknapp and Dwight Yorke

I really wish I could watch the Sky Comms today, sounds like a great trio

I've got Champion and Beglin so a very decent lineup still!

Not being funny but what sort of build up would you expect for a big Manchester Derby?
The out rage on here if they didn't bother or had such a poor line up.

Watching NBC coverage and they really do put a good 3 man commentary together. Arlo White in all fairness reminds me a bit of Darren Fletcher (nothing too special) but Dixon and Le Saux have great chemistry but don't let that get in the way of sound analysis of the game. Makes a mockery of BT's 3 man teams in all fairness.

Tyler and Neville - as usual, outstanding.

Think Carragher only got involved twice during the game itself - which is a good way of doing it.

Also Simon Thomas has been very good too, thought he would struggle on a big game.
