There was a huge amount of hyperbole in the build up about that.
The redeveloped Anfield does look sweet, but adding 8k extra seats doesn't change the attitude of the team or as you say, mean the old stand was a barrier to success.
But people saying it was quiet are talking flat out nonsense! The volume & atmosphere in Anfield was brilliant!
