NBC - Arlo White and Graeme Le Saux at Stamford Bridge.

Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe in the studio.

Standard NBC presentation - no gimmicks!

This is easy to watch with a VPN and knowing where to look. Despite the issues with it being a US broadcast - more frequent ad breaks, animated ads that take over the scoreboard, and 'the Lexus stoppage time is 3 minutes', the coverage is far more consistent than BT and Sky's. They also get access to the host broadcaster's pre and post-match interviews

I wouldn't say the NBCSN coverage is more 'consistent' at all. The punditry is below par for me. Same for all the international broadcast partners re the BIB. IMG always take the Sky interviews because Sky are first in the queue for them and very few broadcasters go to the expense of having anybody on site.

Agree with BiB; BT get slated for having three commentators. NBCSN sem to be lauded.

BT get knocked for their "busu" coverage. NBCSN's animated, big and very distracting scorebar with ads appears to be accepted.

The size of the NBCSN scoreboard is almost as big as a ticker!

To be fair, i think almost everyone watching the TV coverage did too. It was only after Lovren turned and went to celebrate, he didn't stop, so there was no flag and then we all knew it was a goal.
Im no fan of Tyler, but he wasn't at fault

What? No Steve Bower? I'm disappointed he isn't commentating on his local team.

Ian's commentary for ROI viewers today

Be interesting to see if Bill Leslie gets a PL game or not, which would possibly show that if it's 3 PL and 2 FL games on a weekend, Alan Parry might not be used, if there's 4 PL and/or 3 FL games then Bill drops to FL

The last few years clearly having passed Gary Weaver by, given his reference to "Kelly Dalglish".

Well as Hargreaves is pundit and Owen is well out of favour in the commentary box i think Mcmanaman is a fairly good shout unless they fancy given somebody different a go.

Simple reason why on the BIB -NBC's three-man team is quite good apparently.
Whereas with BT, most of the time it's varying degrees of awful.

Just tuned onto BT Score and we have Jake talking to Paul Ince about cars. Talk about a contrast from their CL coverage.

Before then the 3pm kick-offs and I assume the weekly Goal Rush complaints due to broadcasters taking it as the only option.

For those who are wondering why David is doing the 3pm game today, McQueen is out in Scotland at the 'Pretty Muddy' event. I take it David will also do GOTD and Match Choice tonight as well.

I liked this bit in the opener...
Quote:
“Incidentally this interview begins just after he finished covering Scotland’s opening World Cup qualifying win away at Malta, which was followed by his trip to Cyprus to cover Roberto Martinez’s first competitive game as Belgium boss.”

Not sure on that 'trip to Cyprus!'
