People seeemd a bit confused when Sky picked Leicester/Chelsea

However, it rated at 875k, 100k more than last night Utd's game which maybe had a longer build up and it was up against Bake Off.

Would the Liverpool or Arsenal games rated better?

The 875k was for the programme up to its scheduled end time of 10pm - so included about 20 mins extra-time and more importantly zero post match - both of which would obviously have significantly inflated the rating.

However it was still a pretty good rating - I think the answer to your question is that the Liverpool and Arsenal games would have rated similarly (on a like for like basis) but the fact the Leicester game played out as it did meant that in retrospect it was the best game to have picked.

An interesting development.... Lineker is claiming he is doing CL coverage for BT next week but my EPG saying that Matt Smith will host Leicester V Porto and Lysney Hipgrave hosting Celtic V Man City. Smith is joined by Glenn Hoddle and Jermaine Jenas on Tuesday and Hipgrave is joined by Ian Wright and Owen Hargreaves on Wednesday.

My guess is that they are going to use the team for CSKA Moscow V Spurs and Arsenal V Basel team for the highlights show and Gary Lineker will be on-site for both the Leicester and Celtic/Man City games and will be presenting those games on BT Sport 2 with a different team. Bit odd if that's the case as they could have used the main team for the highlights show, or it could be a cock up on the Sky EPG.

Also Gianfranco Zola is joing Rio Ferdinand, Ian Wright and Jake Humphrey for Arsenal V Chelsea, Zola is also listed for PL Tonight on the EPG.

Does anyone know the reason why Kevin Keatings and Gerry Armstrong aren't part of Sky's La Liga coverage?

By the way, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.

Thanks for the reply, I should have mentioned I'm still watching La Liga Week 2 games, so I'm obviously a bit behind. I'm sure keatings didn't do any La Liga Week 1 games which is what prompted my question. Anyway thanks again.

If they are going to use the team for the highlights show then it'll be a little bit like PL Tonight by which the co-comms join the punditry coverage. Seems quite clear to me that Jenas and Hargreaves will be commentating on the Tottenham and Arsenal games respectively. 'Arry and a guest appearance for another ex-Arsenal player probably make up those numbers.

I think it will be interesting to see how they cover Celtic-Man City. Personally, I think Rio will be joined by 2 pundits rather than the customary one (probably Dunne and Hartson), and I think BT will jump at the chance of a 3 man commentary team of Fletcher, McManaman and Sutton (for better or (most probably) for worse ).

Wonder if Fletch will be on both main matches this weekend however. Given that both main games are based in Britain, it shouldn't be too difficult to get him to both venues. It would be a shame for Darke if so, who would probably be on the Spurs match. Alternatively, Darke may be on the Leicester match, and therefore probably the Arsenal match, leaving Fletcher in Scotland and ready to cover United on Thursday night.

Nice to see a decent punditry line-up for Saturday's match (BT's biggest game of the season so far). I worried it would just be Rio and Wright, or Rio, Wright and Hoddle with Francis on as a 3rd man comm (thank our lucky stars).

That sounds horrible for such a big game.

(Thank god I'm going and can just suffer the Arsenal performance rather than the commentary!)

I thought they'd go Fletcher, Hargreaves and Hoddle (probably BT's 'best' 3 man setup) but at least they didn't stick Francis (or if you'd prefer, Grandad from Mrs Brown's Boys ) on like I thought they might have.

I think we can back this up as the UEFA Europa League highlights show on BT Sport 2 is being presented by Hipgrave and she is joined by Kevin Davies, Gordon Strachman and Julien Laurens which looks like it's being done in the BT Sport Studio, so I expect that's the team for the Southampton game.

Close as far as Darke is concerned, he is covering Leicester again but also Man Utd on Thurs.

It really is and if Macnanaman is in one of his friendly moods it could be "Fletch" all the way tomorrow.

For the time being at least it's one thing we are going to have to accept, Fletcher wll do all the big games just like Jake will continue to present their Prem coverage.

No way have either of them got the "Big" game commentary/presenting in them.

Interesting as again no Champion's league, or seemingly not for Humphreys.

Will be interesting to see what happens next week as Darren Fletcher tweeted he will be at the first NFL game on Sunday the same day as BT are showing Man Utd Stoke.

Wonder if he will do both meaning a quick dash from Old Trafford to where ever the game is taking place.

If i got the dates all wrong feel free to call me a numpty!
