I was trying to identify the Hull City v Chelsea commentator for the Premier League Goal Rush. It sounded like Steve Bower and Don Hutcheson but I cannot be sure as I did not see any on-screen identification.

I take it this is a copy and paste job seeing as it's got US times and I presume FS2 refers to Fox Sports 2 in the US. If you're going to post useful information like this, it might be useful to amend the times from the website you copied it from to relate to the UK? i.e. 9.30 ET becomes 2.30pm UK etc.

Even my wife commented that Acres was screaming and shouting in his reports into FS, very unprofessional and in sharp contrast to other reporters.

Saturday 1st October - Channel 5

Football on 5

George Riley and Lynsey Hipgrave presented alongside John Egan and Chris Iwelumo

Rotherham United v Newcastle United - Paul Walker
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Norwich City - Daniel Mann and Don Goodman (as Sky Sports)

Championship round-ups - Tom Skippings, Dave Beckett, Dan Mason and Nick Halling
League One and Two round-ups - Matt Williams, Nick Halling, Tom Skippings, Mick Conway, Dave Beckett and Dan Mason

With Brentford's John Egan being among the studio guests, they didn't have the pundits talking over any of the first-run action. They took Sky Sports' post-match interviews from Wolves v Norwich but I'm not sure who the interviewer was as I didn't catch any of the live coverage, it would normally be either Jonathan Oakes or David Craig.

You can tell Darren Fletcher isn't involved in this one, it's not being plastered on Twitter by him, who's with etc etc.

Jon Champion, Owen Hargreaves and Glenn Hoddle commentating.

Wow at Jon Champion commentating, must be the first PL UK commentary for him since his ESPN days, first BT commentary shocker of the season. I'm suprised Darke didn't get it but Champion surely has to be a worthy replacment.

Unless Ian is sick and unable to cover today's game, this seriously has to put a question mark over his future at BT.

Or am I reading too much into it?

Must be the first time Champion has done one of these 3-man commentary teams.

Champion would have done several PL commentaries over the years on the World Feed but can't think of any PL commentaries he's done or UK viewers since ESPN as you say.
Means he's now commentated on live games on BT, ESPN and Setanta.

BT do seem to spring a surprise every so often.

He was watching Portsmouth yesterday so i doubt he is/was sick.

I will be very surprised that after this season he will have any major role with BT, infact wouldn't be surprised to hear less of him on BT as the season goes on.

He did Thursday's UTD game. Perhaps they didn't want him doing two on the bounce?
