He did Thursday's UTD game. Perhaps they didn't want him doing two on the bounce?
Pretty sure he would have been capable of doing today's game if he did Thursday's EL tie.

They took Sky Sports' post-match interviews from Wolves v Norwich but I'm not sure who the interviewer was as I didn't catch any of the live coverage, it would normally be either Jonathan Oakes or David Craig.
It was Jonathan Oakes.

I didn't mean anything about capability.
Just thinking BT want to mix up coverage of Manchester United. There is no Scholes either

I very much doubt that would of been considered in sorting a commentator's schedule out, a commentator could easily end up covering a team 3 teams in a row if that was going to be the case.

Well BT seem to like to do things a little differently

They're bringing Redknapp in perfectly. BT should take note. This is how you do a 3 man team.

Now that's how they do things at BT Sport.

Champion's commentary earlier was fine, not as great as Darke, who would have done it better, but still a good commentary from him.

Unless Ian is sick and unable to cover today's game, this seriously has to put a question mark over his future at BT.

Or am I reading too much into it?
You are reading too much into it, I think. As well as doing the Man U game on Thursday, he also did the Leicester game on Tuesday, and seemingly either BT or Darke thought that three games in six days would be too much. You'll note that Darren Fletcher has only done one European match in a week if he's also commentating on the Premier League at the weekend so presumably BT consider that two in a week is the limit for a commentator. If Darke was on the way out, he wouldn't have done a primetime Man U game.

As for yesterday, would loved to have seen the response if BT had come up with a line-up like Sky had for Swansea vs Liverpool.

Tyler showing that champion is miles away from a number one position. Champion really irritated me today, sarcastic, poor conversation and pompous. I can understand those that rate him, but I really dislike his commentary.

Tyler streets ahead. I do wish sky though would stop with close ups on players for sometimes up to 5 seconds as play progressed. They missed potentially key action at least twice.

Haven't really caught the PL Show to be honest. Just thinks it's a bit unnecessary though as a show to be honest - not sure if there's anything it does that Football Focus couldn't do.
Well, there must be something, surely, because one's on at lunchtime and one's on at ten o'clock at night, so there must be some kind of freedom. I don't mean there's room for wall to wall swearing but presumably there is the chance to talk about stuff that isn't suitable for lunchtime, or be a bit more discursive than Focus which by its very nature has to be fast-moving and can't cover stuff in great depth.

I mean, I suppose the benefit is that it can devote the whole show to one subject * but when they did the whole show on the Manchester derby the problem was that every other football show was talking about that anyway. And so often it seems a bit po-faced and overly serious, it doesn't have to be packed with banter or anything but it might be quite nice if it didn't swallow all the hype about the big games so readily.

* That said, clearly they had to quickly add another bit onto this week's show to talk about Sam Allardyce, although technically that was out of this show's jurisdiction.

I think you will find in week 1 Fletcher had Arsenal then Man Utd on Thur's and then Man Utd again on Sunday so to be honest i really don't think BT would honestly think 3 games in 6 day's is to much at all.

Just look at Derek Rae's commentary allocation's in some week's.
