Well, there must be something, surely, because one's on at lunchtime and one's on at ten o'clock at night, so there must be some kind of freedom. I don't mean there's room for wall to wall swearing but presumably there is the chance to talk about stuff that isn't suitable for lunchtime, or be a bit more discursive than Focus which by its very nature has to be fast-moving and can't cover stuff in great depth.
I mean, I suppose the benefit is that it can devote the whole show to one subject * but when they did the whole show on the Manchester derby the problem was that every other football show was talking about that anyway. And so often it seems a bit po-faced and overly serious, it doesn't have to be packed with banter or anything but it might be quite nice if it didn't swallow all the hype about the big games so readily.
* That said, clearly they had to quickly add another bit onto this week's show to talk about Sam Allardyce, although technically that was out of this show's jurisdiction.
