With what I propose, however - it would remove the onus being on one individual like yourself to log all of the data on their own. It would be more of a collaborative effort. Folks could enter details into the database directly themselves and for those folks who prefer just to post in this thread, I'm sure there would be enough willing volunteers to enter the information that they have provided into the system on their behalf, crediting them in the process.

It's an idea that's a lot clearer in my mind than probably what I am able to convey to you guys at this moment but I will try and illustrate what I'm on about and how it could work in the coming days.”

I obviously don't represent the entire thread, but I'd be quite happy for you to do what you're proposing. Can't see any harm in it as long as it doesn't discourage members from posting on the thread itself of course.

Thanks. For clarity, I didn't ever mean it as an alternative to posting in this thread but more of a supplementary thing. I'd like to try and interlink the two. Think of it as killing two birds with one stone, but not killing the thread!

I'll put something together and you guys can let me know what you think.

I second that sentiment, I'm very happy for you to do that too, so long as there is still somewhere that all the data can be found.

Indeed - sounds worth a try. Have to say I've always enjoyed Steve and Igloo's end-of-season reviews on here. Interesting and well-written.

On a slightly different topic - without wanting to become the thread's Mr Football365 - I noticed they did a reader poll to identify the 5 best and worst football pundits. The best pundit list is next week and this week is the worst pundits. And since the thread is quieter in international weeks, I thought it worth a post.

A very well-written argument actually but attached is the bottom 5.

Some of it might be on name value (you're more likely to name someone who's on every week than someone who only appears a few times a season on things you watch) and it is slightly predictable but not at all surprised most of that top 5 appeared on there.

One TV channel in particular features heavily on there. There's one or two notable absences too.

Related to this I posted earlier, an absolutely brilliant article absolutely savaging a Robbie Savage column (if you pardon the pun) - point by point.

The Gary Rowett bit at the end in particular is fantastic.

I just wish he'd be confined to BT Score along with some of the rest of the lot who appear on there.

In other news, Glenn Hoddle (#3 on the list) is trending on Twitter. Haven't heard the commentary but I'm assuming it's not to say how good his commentary is.

Hoddle hasnt been to bad really tonight. A lot of Twitter users just like to complain whoever the ITV Co-Commentator is. His tone of voice is winding a lot of people up but he really hasnt been bad at all. As we know from this thread some just like to berate ITV for the sake of it. Think Gazza1982 and then imagine that all on twitter are him. Thats what Twitter is showing.

England vs Malta is attack vs defense, awful game.

The fans in the stadium are bored, the commentary team sound bored especially Hoddle. This game doesn't tell you anything on how England have improved, how well they are doing.

Even the England under 12s could beat Malta.
