Does anyone know if it is possible to access the first four parts of this thread from years ago or is it lost forever?

I can only find part 5 onwards, the rest appear to have been archived off.

Thanks.

It really was bad as well.

Im sure Jake at time's forget's he is presenting football and think's he is sitting in the pub on a Saturday evening trying to tell jokes after a few drinks, really was crindgeworthy stuff at times with the 3 of them.

The commentary between the 3 of them was a total mish mash and have to agree it really is a poor poor line up.

Hargreaves as ever seemed totally uninterested and really did add very little with his monotone dejected voice, bring back Micheal Owen and banish Hargreave back to the studio where he is miles better.

Actually felt a little sorry for Fletcher today having to sit alongside those two, did nothing for his commetary today.

Just read that article and what a load of old nonsense and personal opinion. Whether viewing figures are down or not means nothing. Far more important is subscriber numbers - if they were down 19% then the panic button would be well and truly hit but as it stands, it's of no concern at all. So long as people are still subscribing, Sky are still getting the income, even if people aren't watching it.

Saturday 15th October - Channel 5

Football on 5

George Riley and Lynsey Hipgrave presented alongside Kenny Jackett and Adam Virgo

Aston Villa v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Daniel Mann and Don Goodman, with Jonathan Oakes conducting interviews (as Sky Sports)
Derby County v Leeds United - Paul Walker
Cardiff City v Bristol City (Friday) - Gary Weaver and Andy Hinchcliffe, with David Craig conducting interviews (as Sky Sports)

Championship round-ups - Sue Thearle, Nick Halling and Matt Williams
League One and Two round-ups - Matt Williams, Mick Conway, Steve Lee, Nick Halling, Callum Williams and Sue Thearle

There was one new voice among the Football on 5 reporting team - Callum Williams is a broadcaster who started off on BBC Local Radio, before moving to the USA to commentate for Sporting Kansas City's local TV and radio networks. He's since returned to the UK and freelances for the MLS international feed, Sky Sports, talkSPORT International and I think BT Sport among others.

Despite there being a regular pundit in Adam Virgo in the studio, Football on 5 didn't have any of those annoying pundit talking over the action edits. Hopefully this is the last gimmick they are quietly abandoning, with them having realised that it's far better for every non-commentary match to get a proper voiceover with the pundits then able to discuss a second showing of the pick of the action during the gaps between the edits.

MOTD was a good watch last night, a good combination of pundits.

Credit also to the behind the scene team for the running order, B'mouth/Hull being first was a good choice.

I'm back in the UK at Xmas with access to Sky/BT so looking forward to being able to join in the conversations slightly more.

Great question for Jacqui Oatley to Aresene Wenger on MOTD last night.

"The sending off happened in front of the dug out, i take it you must have seen that one!"

Arsene Smiled to give him credit.

As you will have no doubt noticed by now, I've added filters to the matches list in the data hub so that you can see which games are still missing information.

Games are having all their information filled out on daily basis as they happen going forward which is of course the idea, but given that we've managed to cover so much of the games that have gone before - it would be nice to round them off as well if possible!

For example, here's a list of games that are missing information (mostly reporters!) - http://commentators.myclubontv.co.uk/Matches/Incomplete. If anyone can help to solve these it would be great. Trouble is, if they weren't recorded in this thread to begin with and nobody else has kept a record, I don't see how we're going to find out who they were. Some of these may have to remain in an incomplete state.

As for the "no data at all" category, the main gaps in knowledge seem to be on Scottish and Welsh games, so we could really use the help of those in the know in this respect! Thanks.

No surprise here, Darren Fletcher doing Barcelona Man City next Wednesday in the Champion's League.

I notice they missed out a question she's mentioned on Twitter she did to Theo Walcott asking him about playing for England which got short shrift.

On BT, let's be honest here Palace v W Ham was never going to bring out the big guns whatever channel it's on so I'm not going to go in too hard on a line-up on a match like that. If it were MU/Arsenal instead it'd be a different story. Also I didn't watch the BT coverage so can't really comment on it.
The only bit I saw was them presenting pitchside pre-match while it looked like the end of days was happening behind. I have no idea why they didn't use a studio pre-match. There surely must be a reason.

BT is real mish-mash of a channel though at times - Score is a perfect example. You have the likes of Jenas and Pougatch co-existing with the likes of David James, Chris Sutton, 'Arry etc and the whole show just feels very messy.
Pougatch's presence there is still a mystery - he seems to have stopped doing PLP Monday Night games and the prestigeous 5 Live Saturday gig for a second-rate scores show that can't be doing well with viewing figures at all. At least he's still got the ITV Football gig.

And I would say with Ian Wright, he works far better when there's another pundit who can do most of the analysis and Wright can bring some energy, views and entertainment. That's partly why Dixon and Wright work so well on ITV. The issue comes with a line-up like yesterday when 'Arry is alongside him.

Think luke posted a line-up of the Xmas/New Year games for over Christmas and sounds like BT haven't got any PL games at all for nearly a good month but you'll get plenty of Sky games.

Sky's Boxing Day coverage can't possibly be any worse than what BT produced last Boxing Day where from memory not one person had a good thing to say about it.

You might be lucky when you're back and catch some of Ryan 'I never wanted the Swansea job anyway, honest' Giggs. The only good thing I can say about him is that he seems to have reduced Dwight Yorke's appearances on MU games. Has he popped up on any of the PLP stuff?

Yeah spot on there BFGArmy, the TV matches were released the other day and BT Sport have just one match between Sat 17th Dec 2016 and Sat 14th Jan 2017, the sole game being Liverpool v Man City on New Years' Eve, meanwhile, in the same period, Sky Sports have 15 Premier League matches live, as well as EFL matches too, including the usual '10 in 10' between 9th Dec and 18th Dec (8 Championship & 2 League 1 games)

That said though, there is the FA Cup 3rd Round to fit in between those dates, and I'm sure BT will have 3 or 4 matches from that competition in early January.

I was watching the end of Man City v Everton on a stream of beIN Sports yesterday, and after the game (and after they'd gone through the goals from some key European games, which I liked), Richard Keys mentioned that Yorke and Alan Curbishley would be joining them for Crystal Palace v West Ham. BT's lineup doesn't seem so bad in comparison.
