Have I missed a show BTW - I haven't seen noms - or was it on BOTS?”

Hang on a minute. Marnie should have no respect for Saira because Saira makes observations about Marnie that are 100% accurate?

We can all make accurate observations about people if we are in a mind to do so. The point was that Marnie had gone in to support Saira, but Saira preferred to keep the argument going. Saira can dish it out but she can't take it when people make observations about her

Biggins, Grant and Sam should have used their biggest voices and joined James in the condemnation of what Marnie did - sadly, they didn't. Shame on them.”

Good post.

I don't think people would mind if Marnie has made observations about Saira or continued an argument to make a point. That is an acceptable social interaction. What Marnie did made no point, no observation or present an argument or point of view. It was an abusive action designed to humiliate.

"Abusive level"?
"Protect herself"?

Are Marnie's breasts supposed to be deadly weapons now, or something?

Then we get the mind-reading: spiteful, designed to intimidate, humiliate and embarrass.

In fact, none of us know what, if anything, it was designed to do.

To push your bare breasts in another woman's face - abusive
To put your arm out to stop it happening - to protect yourself

Marnie's breasts are not deadly weapons, but in this instance she was using them as a weapon - of spite. I think the many people that have commented on this instance, have taken an educated guess that the purpose was to humiliate and embarrass. We do know what it was designed to do, because we heard Lewis, Bear and Marnie planning to do something to Marnie that would upset her. So we know the intention was not good.

I know what you were referring to; I just don't think those are appropriate words to use.

Nor is saying "push your bare breasts in another woman's face" which makes it sound like physical contact.

"Spite" is just your belief about what was going on in Marnie's mind. And "educated guess"? Educated by what? People are just making assumptions about things they couldn't know without being mind-readers.

Your claim that it was "designed to intimidate, humiliate and embarrass Saira" now rests on a very different word, "upset". And did they even say that?

Besides, in your earlier post, "designed to intimidate, humiliate and embarrass Saira" was about Marnie supposedly going further than the others had suggested: "Marnie's action was much more spiteful than what her vile friends had suggested and was designed to intimidate, humiliate and embarrass Saira." That claim about Marnie can't be based on what the others said.

I think it shows how little people really have to use against Marnie that they use exaggerated descriptions of this minor incident to try to make it seem a major one.

You talk of people making assumptions and their beliefs? I believe you are doing exactly the same.
We each summarise what we see and make assumptions on that.

Marnie is a spiteful, selfcentred, vindictive, ugly hearted little cockweasel.

Nothing to like about her at all.

Yes, she most certainly is all those things in my eyes.

If a woman walked up to another woman, bared her breasts and tried twice to push them in her face in the work place, do you think it would be treated as a minor incident?

Out of interest, what words would you use to describe:
1. A woman approaching another woman, baring her breasts and trying to push them in her face - twice, against her will,
2. The action of physically moving away from a threat, whilst using your arm as a block.

You are right it is my belief, assumption, interpretation and claim that Lewis, Bear and Marnie's intentions were malicious. They were trying to upset her more than she already was. Sam, who was there and heard them plotting, realised what they were doing was spiteful, which is why she spoke out and moved away from them. James and Biggins, who were there, realised that Saira was intimidated and Marnie was being nasty, which is why they spoke out. My claim about Marnie is not solely based on what the others said, it's based on how quickly she jumped up to take the dare - not even a moment was given to how it would make Saira feel. IMO it did highlight how spiteful Marnie is because she took the dare to a more abusive level.

What is your interpretation of Marnie's intent?

Maybe he did not find her boobs worth looking at! Some are easily pleased, some are not.
