Just to say first of all...

I was sort of on Sarias side with the argument where bear was concerned. But when Marnie came to speak to Saria in bed I thought Saria was out of order being passive aggressive and I thought good on you Marnie for being the better person out of the boys.

Now on the subject of the thread:

I don't believe womens torsos should be regarded any different from mens. The only difference between men and women's breasts is a bit of fat. So I don't believe womens breasts should be treated differently to how we treat mens.

But still I had a problem with what Marnie did to Saria and I quickly realised why...

It's not that I have a problem with Marnie showing her boobs at Saria, it's the way that Marnie invaded Sarias personal space (uninvited) that I have a problem with.

Exactly. Bear told her to do it. Sam told her not to do. Marnie chose to do it. She doesn't need any encouragement to behave like a skank, it comes as naturally as breathing for her.

Im assuming you know what I'm trying to say though. There is nothing extra 'sexual' on womens breasts than mens.

I imagine that if she did Cash In The Attic she'd probably f*ck one of the auctioneers.

Oh good, thought I was losing it for a minute. A dare doesn't have to be accepted.

People seem to forget how loud they were ragging on Saira in the pool. I'm sure that got back to her.

There shouldn't be a difference at all sexually though. That is what I am saying.

Yes there is, silly. There's an almost global cultural milieu regarding women's breasts. As you well know, women tend to cover up. Exposing oneself is so far from the norm that it can cause distress in onlookers. Getting your t*ts out is generally frowned upon, yes? While you or I may or may not take offense, it seems rather foolish to deny that there might be a problem, or pretend that we don't understand.

Let me tell you something, idiot. There has also been a cultural 'milieu' sexist attitude and suppression against women and their bodies in the world (and still is). So because it is culturally accepted that women 'must' cover up their torsos because they are viewed as sexual - when mens torsos are also viewed sexual but they are allowed to be topless regardless - that's okay?

What a tool you are.

I'm not responsible for the historical subjugation of women. You plonker.

He or she isn't saying it's ok. He or she isn't being idiotic. They are agreeing with you that women's breasts are considered more sexual than a man's. You argue that isn't right, but that poster isn't claiming it is.

Just pointing out the obvious, which you pretended not to understand. I do think Marnie was out of order, given the culture we live in, in the same way that yelling "F*ck of you c*nt!" into someone's face is generally deemed uncouth even though it's 'just words'. But I don't make the rules. You muppet.

You don't have to switch from disliking Saira to being on her side just because someone oversteps the mark

You also can't put all the blame on Marnie – it wasn't even her idea, and her only mistake was listening to Bear and not thinking a bit more

Not once did I pretend to not understand that womens bodies are suppressed. I was arguing that wems bodies SHOULDN'T be treated different to mens, therefore I am acknowledging that womens breasts are unfairly suppressed.

Really loathe the whole truth or dare thing, whenever that or spin the bottle inevitably crop up, because they/I/we all know it's a facade for just doing what you wanted to do anyway in the name of 'a laugh'. Here's an idea, just have the guts to do the whatever it was (snog someone, drop your trousers & jump in the pool, tell us a titillating factoid about yourself, play a stupid prank.. yawn) without dressing it up.

Yes I'm enormous fun at parties.

Everything about that dare made me want some sort of heavenly ombudsman to step in and metaphorically smite the offenders. James' reaction was the next best thing I guess.
